I took a break from cleaning to grab a glass of water and sit for a few. I heard distant thunder, so I decided to check the radar.

Wonderful... looks like we are about to get slammed.

stupid img tags are NOT working...

That wasn't thunder, that was the exhaust on my car, don't worry though I got it fixed now ;)

Crim, we just wring whatever we can out of the storms (wind, hail, lightning, tornados) and send 'em on. We should be OK for a few days now, so once these get through, maybe you will too.

They're forecasting them for today and tomorrow. We get a break Thursday and Friday and then they are forecasting more Saturday and Sunday.

The last couple actually either ran out of steam before they got here or went around us. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen with this one. Maybe it's moving fast. I'm watching the channel that always does weather coverage and they aren't saying anything about tornado watches or warnings in the counties it's passing through now, so hopefully it'll just make some noise, drop some rain, and move on.

Blech. Sounds like last Friday night was here. Tornadoes touched down in several surrounding cities, some as near as 25 miles away. It wasn't fun and I'm hoping that mess passes you by without too much aggravation.

:rose:

Be safe.

It's the same system that just passed through here. We got nothing but heavy rain and lightning.

We got that plus strong winds and thunder. Still raining and thundering, but the strong winds and most of the lightning has passed. Weatherman said it was losing strength as it crossed the Mississippi.

Define 'strong winds'? A 'normal' breeze for right here at the house is what most around here would consider to be strong. i don't even notice wind anymore.

I'm so weird...

I'm the same way. I love rain and storms.

Except when I hear the sirenes, that's when I get a bit nervous and don't quite like them as much.

It blew one of the chairs off the porch and knocked the basket ball goal over (and it's weighted down with about 200lbs of sand.)

That might have been noticed. Maybe.

Well hell, send that rain down here. We need it bad.

We are under a state wide state of emergency because of wildfires. Our drought and fire indexes have vanished somehwere in the stratosphere. Hell even the Kudzu is turning brown.
