I have heard so much negativity about this movie! Almost evey reviewer (and I don't trust them on EVERYTHING) has said it's "purely eye candy with no nourishment." Yes it looks flashy but I think it might actually be worth the time.

I like the soundtrack too, although I'd heard it was as bad as the movie. Some say that it would be a wonderful movie if Baz Luhrmann hadn't tried to bring this 19th century story into the 21st century with 20th century pop tunes.

Maybe I'm just blinded by Nicole Kidman's beauty and talent (she can-can sing by the way:) ) and I still think Tom is a fool. :( Well, either way I'm going to go see it soon.

Your opinions??? -Even if you haven't seen it yet???

My Sig Line is From The Site!

Yeah! Yeah! Bandwidth An All!

:) I REALLY Wanna See The Movie!
I Have Alway's Had This Fantasy Of Opening My Very Own Moulin Rouge. LOL

Thanks RNAB...

i'm at the Moulin Rouge site...

waiting for the quick time movie to download... interesting music... so far...

I'm going to see it tonight. In Oz we don't care about the reviews. It has our Nic in it and she has just been done over by your big time christmas tree smiling movie star whose name is never to cross our lips again so we won't say ANYTHING bad about the movie. My friends who've seen it say it's great. They also say that unlike Ms. Paltrow, Nic can sing. Oh well, not that I've alienated everyone.....

ok....that's it....

i'm gonna go see it when it gets here....

i'm inLust with Nichole Kiddman (don't think i spelled that right)...

What's his name never did much for me any way...

I'll be checking it out soon. If anything, for the eye candy atleast.

I will of course, be seeing it immediately.
I, as you all know due to a ridiculous infatuation (not obsession as some would aruge), am following Ewan's work very closely.

Ok. I've just seen it. Here's my take. You know how Baz produces films that are kinda different? Well, it's kinda different. It's also big and bold and brassy as only an American musical which is set in France but filmed in Australia could be.
If you don't fancy Nicole Kidman and Ewan Macgregor singing Elton John and David Bowie songs in duets then you probably won't like it.
If you want your film to have a message then you probably won't like it.
If you have to drive through a bushfire and a series of dirt roads to get to the cinema then it probably isn't worth it.
If you have nothing better to do and would like to spend two hours being entertained with some fluffy frivilous fun, then this is the film for you.

The way I see it. The music video will be popular than the movie. Considering that Christina out does everyone else with her awesome voice but Pink and Lil Kim are the finest in the group.
