For now, this thread is closed for CG and myself. If you would like to join, please PM me. Hope you enjoy!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the advertised article in today’s paper.

C.G. Raven the renowned author of 49 best selling mystery novels will appear for a reading and book signing of his recently published novel, ‘Midnight Hour’ at Barnes n’ Noble on January 7, 2001, 7 pm

My eyes flickered over to the calendar. Today is January 7th. It’s today!

I jumped up and grabbed my already read first edition copy of ‘Midnight Hour’ and flipped over to it’s back. My fingers traced over the outline of his facial features while my mind wandered off, dreaming of many different scenarios of how I hope this evening would play out.

“Stop it Carrie, you have lots to do if you’re going to make CG Raven notice you,” I had to tell myself.

I spent the day preparing for the evening. My ash blonde hair was cut in the latest shoulder length fashion, while the new highlights softened my skin tone and enhanced my almond shaped blue eyes. I spent hours at the department store trying different outfits to enhance my figure. With the advice of the saleswoman, I finally settled for a simple black miniskirt, black turtleneck sweater and sexy open-toed black heels.

I stood in the mirror and did a once over. Make-up looks natural. Hair isn’t overdone. Saleswoman was correct. Simplicity can be sexy. Toes painted a bright red. “Perfect,” I thought. “I’ve never looked better.”

I arrived at Barnes n’ Noble a half hour early hoping for a front row seat. To my disappointment, it seemed like the whole town was there. Since the front row was full, I chose to stand in the back. Not only do I want to hear him speak, I want to see his every expression.

I loathed these book signing, not my readers but the nessaty of it. I loved the writing and the fact that people liked my work, but these events always made me feel more the prostitute than the author, hawking me more than my book. It was a whirl wind tour of six cities in three days. The signings, local talk show and all the hype that went with the publishing of a new book.

9PM this was only supposed to be and hour. The advance people where gone; this was the last stop on the tour. Now some time off for me.

I was just collecting my hat and coat, she had been standing in the back as I spoke earlier. Her ash blonde hair was cut in the latest shoulder length fashion, while there where new highlights softened her skin tone and enhanced those almond shaped blue eyes. She seemed so hesitant as she approached me, we where alone.

I smiled at her. “Can I help you Miss, is there something you want?”

Carrie

CG Raven was every bit the star I thought. With his witticism and playfulness, he was able to capture the room's attention and have them begging for more.

I continued to hold back as the crowd lined for his autograph and handshake. When the crowd thinned, I wanted to approach him many times but my shyness couldn't make my legs move.

Finally, it was just he and I. He looked at me and asked with a smile, “Can I help you Miss, is there something you want?”

With barely a whisper, I asked him, "Will you sign this, please Mr. Raven?"

"Sure thing, whom should I make this out to?"

"Carrie"

Her voice is barely a whisper, as she asks, "Will you sign this, please Mr. Raven?"

"Sure thing, whom should I make this out to?"

"Carrie"

It was a 1st edition but well worn and read and reread. The advanced sales where only shipped three weeks ago.

“I see you really enjoyed it.”

“Carrie is it,….Well Carrie what shall I say.”

I take out my old fashion fountain pen and write:

To Carrie my Number One Fan from YOUR NUMBER ONE AUTHOR

C G raven

I handed her back her book as I put my coat on and started to walk a way. Then for some reason I turned.

“Carrie do you know of a place that is open now where I could get something to eat?

Carrie

I couldnt believe I stood there like a gawking teenager as he autographed my book with a flourish and returned it to me with a weary smile.

Stupid! Stupid, me! Say something. He turned to leave. I stepped forward and opened my mouth and not a sound escaped my lips.

He turned back, “Carrie do you know of a place that is open now where I could get something to eat?" I felt my body flush as I heard the sound of his voice saying my name.

"Well......there's a little bistro called Cariguillo's just 2 blocks from here. It's locally owned and can provide privacy so you can eat in peace." Giving him a smile, "Plus, they have the best focicia bread in town." Even though, I wasn't hungry, "I was planning on having dinner there. Would you like to join me?"

"Well......there's a little bistro called Cariguillo's just 2 blocks from here. It's locally owned and can provide privacy so you can eat in peace."……… "Plus, they have the best focicia bread in town." Even though, I wasn't hungry, "I was planning on having dinner there. Would you like to join me?"

Carrie’s smile was delightful and so disarming I broke a cardinal rule of mine “No going out with fans”

“I would love too……….I really hate eating alone particularly when I am a stranger in a strange town………..Lead the way Carrie.”

Cariguillo’s was every thing and more. The muscles in drawn butter garlic and white wine, good bread dipped in olive oil. The focicia with smoked salmon and capers, the coffee after. We sat there over coffee talking and the time just slipped away unnoticed.

In private I was not th forcefull speaker of earlier this evening but more like the shy kid who had turned to writing to express himself.

Being a non-drinker, the effects of the wine took hold of my body immediately. That and Mr. Raven's patient ear, provided me the boldness to fire questions of his characters and plot decisions.

After some time, it came to mind that I was acting like a rambling teenager, so I stopped and was aware of my surroundings. All the tables were cleared except for ours. The waiters and staff were hovering nearby waiting for the first sign of us finishing.

"Did we chase everybody away? I didn't mean to take so much of your time. Please, you should have stopped me."

Mr. Raven gave me a sweet smile and poured more wine in my empty glass.

"Please, don't. It's refreshing to be with someone who can be herself with me." He glanced at his watch. "Besides, I'm officially on vacation."

My heart leaped at his smile and kind words. Suddenly, I felt shy. I observed him as he sipped his wine. He had dark, thick hair with the first signs of gray. His piercing blue eyes were surrounded by lines, giving him a hint of his playful youth. As my eyes traveled down his lean, thin body, I felt the flush rush up to my face as I imagined him without his coat.

We where alone and Carrie put me at easy. She was a rush of questions at first. The animated way she talked, blushed, was so natural, that it captivated my mind. Some would view her as a silly “Teenager”, but I saw the woman and a very captivating one at that.

“Well I am officially on Vacation But I think the staff would like us to get out of here so they can clean up and get Home”

“I know this will sound strange Carrie But do you want to go for a walk?”

“There is something about you that brings out the kid in me who never wants to call it a day.”

I paid the tab and waited for Carrie’s answer.

Is he kidding? CG Raven wanting to walk with me? I pinched my thigh to wake me in case it was a dream. No, he's still here!

Nodding my head, I agreed immedately. "Yesss, I would love to." Hopefully, I didn't come off too eager.

We left the restaurant and stood at the exit. Not knowing where to turn, I was glad when he guided his hand over my back and steered me away from the direction of the bookstore. We walked slowly in a comfortable silence. Occassionly, our eyes met and and would avert in embarassment.

After a few minutes, a cool wind met us, making me shiver.

"Are you cold?"

"Just slightly."

Mr. Raven removed his coat and draped it over my shoulders. I took a deep breath as I inhaled his scent.

"Thank you Mr. Raven."

"Please call me.....

The bill paid and the staff happy to see the last of us we head for the door. I am unfamiliar with this town but know I do not want to go back towards the bookstore, and it is late and poor lit that way. So gentility steering Carrie in the other direction. I as usual just start walking and rambling in my conversation. No particular thoughts, just the wanderings of a restless mind. The evening mild compared to northern Quebec but Carrie is shivering every now and then.

"Are you cold?"

"Just slightly."

I drape my old woolen “Pea Coat” over Carries Shoulders. This is the first time I notice the sweet sugar and spice fragrance of Carrie. Before there had always a distraction, the press of the crowd at the book signing, the restraint and all of its many aromas masked it there to. But no here, not know in the fresh northern breeze. How soft and warm she feels, God how long had it been C G 10 or 12 years sense, well no need dealing on that. I stepped back as Carrie turned towards me.

"Thank you Mr. Raven."

Please call me C G as Mr. Raven was my father”

There was a devilish smile on my face.

“And before you ask Carrie it is just plain C. G. seems dad also had a strange sense of humor.”

God she is so close so desirable and just a breath away. What would she do if I just kissed her? I got to get a hold of myself. She is young , attractive , probably married or what passed for it these days. But what would she do?

Ah come on man you have a daughter just a little younger than Carrie here.

I couldn't believe my ears! CG's initials were a mystery among the public eye. And here, little ole' me, knew the greatest mystery.

My mind was reeling now. I can feel his body heat within his coat. I closed with my eyes and imagined it was him enveloping me instead of his coat. Even though, I wasn't cold, I leaned in closer so were walking side by side.

"My apartment is right around the corner."

He nodded his head and we continued in silence.

After a few uncomfortable moments, I finally got the nerve to ask, "Would you like to come in for some coffee?"

I held my breath waiting for his answer.

Carrie leaned in a bit closer as we walked she was so refreshing, her questions honest, and she listened before asking another. I really felt at ease with her. And yet when she said

"My apartment is right around the corner."

I was taken a little by surprise, though a pleasant surprise. There was an awkward silence that followed until she finally said.

"Would you like to come in for some coffee?"

I turned to look Carrie in the eyes. In Canada if we said come up for coffee that is all we meant but the states where very different. She is a beautiful young woman and I am a much older man. I had to be sure. Carrie’s eyes where clear and guiles. So I broke another rule of mind “Never go to a Fan’s home.

“Sure I’d love some coffee, Lead the way.”

And so Carrie did. About ten minutes later we where there. I smiled as she fumbled with her keys opening the door. The little side long glances to see if I was still there. I felt like a kid on his first real date, waiting for her dad to show up and to tell me to "Go home son.”

There was the usual small talk and then Carrie was off to the kitchen to make the coffee. It was pleasant just setting there and listening to Carrie moving about the kitchen.

I ran around the kitchen in a frenzy, trying to hurry so I can return to CG. Periodically, I peeked in the living room, making sure he was still there. Everytime, I saw him on my sofa, I had to pinch myself to remind me it's real.

Before I walked out with the tray, I stopped to check my reflection in the toaster. Oh geez! My hair is a little wind blown, and my make-up was half off. But, I think I still looked ok. My face was a little flushed providing color to my face. And my eyes were shining from the obvious excitement of CG in my home.

"Coffee's ready," I announced.

I sat next to him, and started pouring. Even prepared the way his coffee the way he did in the restaurant.

We both sat there in silence as we sipped our coffee. Stealing awkward glances at each, once again.

I turned to him, beaking the silence. "Would you like to see something?"

His face lit up in relief, "Sure."

I jumped up, walked over to my desk and pulled out a monstrous photo album.

"This is your career." I sat back down next to him. This time a little closer.

"I saved every article and book review of you. You see CG, I am your number one fan."

Carrie brought in the coffee and was excited as a schoolgirl and very animated in her conversation. It was a joy just to see what my just being there did for her.

"Would you like to see something?"

"Sure." Carrie I’d luv to.

She jumped up, walked over to her desk and pulled out a monstrous photo album.

"This is your career."

Carrie was setting very close now. She was so excited about her scrape book of my career. I smiled; I did not see Carrie as a stalker more an obsessed fan. I was very attracted to her and yet where could it lead. Mine was a solitary life, writing and my daughter, I had not considered romance sense the end of a rather disastrous marriage of 25 years, well I had been over long before that just took be that long to realize I was nothing more than a walking checkbook. I had been very careful to be more than above board as the courts took very hard look single fathers, a double standard, yes, but reality.

Carrie was close and I longed to take her in my arms and Kiss her and yet……………

“Carrie I need to tell you some think.”

I saw the startled look in her eyes. I quickly smiled and brushed her jaw line with the back of my hand.

I proceed to tell Carrie all that I had been thinking of. God she will think I am some kind of nut case.

I lifted my chin towards him as his hand guided along my jawline. My heart fluttered continiously as his soft words filled my ears of him wanting me. We were so close, I can feel his eyes probing mine. Our bodies were so close, it almost seemed as one as we occupied such little space in this narrow couch.

CG finished leaving tears of joy in my eyes. His hand cupped my jaws while his thumb wiped the tears away.

He sat there as his eyes probed my own, waiting for my answer. Because my throat was parched, I couldn't trust myself to speak. So, I leaned in closer til my nose touched his. Our lips weren't touching, but I was able to feel his breath smothering me.

Carrie leaned in closer till my nose touched hers. Our lips weren't touching, but I was able to feel her breath warm and sensual on my cheek.

“Carrie I……… We……. shouldn’t………”

I fought with myself. Do not take advantage of the situation, think man, she is so young and you, oh well. In the end none of it made a difference as I just kissed Carrie. A warm tender kiss.

“I am sorry Carrie I’d better go. Please forgive me I know I shouldn’t have done that.”

His kiss was so soft and tender, it felt like a light feather brushing against my lips. My body started melting....

I felt him pause. Then, he pulled away. “I am sorry Carrie I’d better go. Please forgive me I know I shouldn’t have done that.”

He started to stand up, I placed my hand on his thigh, "Please, don't leave. Stay with me."

Before, he was able to answer, I leaned him back on the coach and kissed him hard.

"Please, don't leave. Stay with me."

Before, I was able to answer; Carrie leaned me back on the coach and kissed me hard.

Both of Carries Hands where on my chest holding me down as her tongue slip by my teeth. She had on knee planted on the coach and her other leg planted on the floor holding me firmly in place. Her black mini skirt had ridden high up on her thigh and reveled a very athletic thigh, firm and well toned.

I responded to Carries kiss lost in a need to long deny. My arms around her trim waist I drew her to me as I surrendered to her kiss.

His arms were wrapped around me, holding me for support while my hands on his chest pushed him back gently, pinning him to the couch.

My tongue slipped between his lips, swept along his teeth, before finding his tongue. At first, he tasted like the coffee I had just served him. Our tongues started rolling together, dancing to the tempo of our quickening breaths. Soon, the coffee was gone, his natural taste blended with mine, releasing a throaty moan from deep inside.

I felt his hard lean body soften under me. I released his mouth and looked deep in his eyes.

"Are you sure you want to leave?"

“Carrie I am sure I should leave, but looking into you eyes and the way your dress has ridden up your leg it is the last thing I want to do”

I kiss her with a deep passion I had not felt for years for any woman. Why I responded to Carrie as I did I will never know? My hands worked up under her black turtle neck to cup her breasts through her lacey bar. I could feel Carrie’s nipples harden as I rolled them under my thumbs.

“Carrie I should go I’ll be here only a short while then on the road again I have a young daughter. Hell you’re my number one fan you know.”

God I wanted her but still how could I take advantage of her.

I pushed him back against the couch, and swung my leg around him so I was straddling his lap. He looked up at me with such lust, I knew all I had to do was say the word, and he would stay. But, I'm not one to beg. He would have to make the decision himself.

With his hands on my waist and my arms wrapped around his neck, I kissed him hard, mashing my teeth against his.

Releasing his mouth, I murmered against his lips, "Yes, you must leave."

Again, my lips found his - only this time, softly, "On the road again..."

Trailing my lips down his chin, as my fingers started fumbling with his button, "daughter waiting...."

Down his neck, "hmmmm.....number one fan...." And up again, to his lips.

Carrie caught me completely by surprise as she straddled me. I could feel her young supple body pressed to mine. A hard savage passionate kiss.

"Yes, you must leave."

Again, her lips found mine - only this time, softly, "On the road again..."

Trailing her lips down my chin, as Carrie’s fingers started fumbling with the button of my shirt, "daughter waiting...."

Down to my neck, "hmmmm.....number one fan...." And up again.

I pulled Carrie’s turtle neck up over her head and flung it a way. “Yes really must go………..”

My fingers found and released the clasp to her bra. I watch it slide from Carrie’s arms, her breasts firm and nipples already hard and pointed. “Hell no I’m staying if you will have me Carrie.”

I can feel my nipples pointing towards his mouth as if it was begging him.

"Hell no I’m staying if you will have me Carrie.”

My lips widened at his question. Actually, the way he said it - it was more of a statement.

My hands closed around his head and brought it to my breasts.

When, I felt his mouth closing in around my nipples, I asked him with a gasp, "Well....Mr. Raven. Should I have you?"

When, my mouth closing in around Carrie’s nipples, She asked me with a gasp, "Well....Mr. Raven. Should I have you?"

“Yes, and call me C G as I think you are going to get to know me very well indeed.”

The combination of his response and his mouth around my nipple released an animalistic groan coming from the pit of my stomach.

"Well...CG. Your number one fan is looking forward to gettting to know you very well. Very well, indeed!"
