Your Literotica name

How did you choose it and why?
Not new. Had it for years in other places before I came here.

I originally started posting stories on the web while I was on AOL, and I didn't want my regular, personal account to be linked up to my attempts at errotic-writing. Since AOL had name-size, content limitations... I decided to simply describe myself: an "artistic bi guy"

I just carried the name over to various author/writing/erotic forums over the years.

I picked my first Internet name as it was the only nick name I've ever been known by "Vickster" it was a good name for chat as it's kinda masculine, and so i didn't get to much of the random "ASL" crap 'cos if it. Also, it ment some people were convinced i was a bloke *chuckles* not so good.

Anyhow, I was persuaded to submit a story here at lit and I didn't want to use "Vickster" as well, it's not very wrotic and it doesn't show my sex. So, I thought of a name that said who I am. First I came up with Lady and in the end I plumped for "English Lady" because tht's who I am.

Simple as that :D

Old lady, at the time living in an all-male household - including the dog.
Seemed perfect, as I was de boss !! ;)

Hm. Someone asked me that when I first ventured into this forum. I gave a two part answer and later realized there were three parts (because I complicate things)

When I started putting my writing online, I decided -- mostly for convenience -- to make separate name that I didn't use elsewhere, just to avoid spam and so as not to get writing stuff mixed with personal stuff. I also post to a Yahoo writer's group.

Since the name I'd used originally online -- Magdalene, a name for my first AD&D character and several after, then my Q link ID and later my AOL name -- wasn't available on Yahoo when I dropped AOL (and that was a hard choice after so many years -- almost 20 now that I think back). Anyway, I love the particular stone malachite, and I associate the color green with writing (stupid reason -- in 7th grade when I became 'serious' about writing, I had a 4 color pen and did all my English homework in green ink). So, I used the name as a Yahoo ID and carried it here with me.

Not exactly a thrilling story, but truth rarely is.

I have always used Sarah for every internet event. I have many accounts, many forum names, many messenger names, etc.

Here, most forms of Sarah were taken, and I was planning to submit my first stories here in the BDSM category. I wanted a name that would draw interest in that area.

It worked.

I tried for my favorite hero first, but the name was taken. I settled for the hero's chariot-horse instead, and found that it's suited me immensely better. I sometimes wonder what difference it would have made to have been the hero rather than the horse; I wouldn't change it now if I could. Oddly, I like not only the equine nature (I've always prized horses in both real and symbolic terms), but also the role the horse plays - not the center of the story, but moving through the fringes of it, there but obscured by the light of the central character. Surely that's the better model for an author.

"He rode into the Dark Valley. There was a roaring of unseen rivers in the darkness, of black cataracts rushing down the steep sides of the Valley. The Liath Macha neighed loudly. The neigh reverberated through the long Valley. A horse neighed joyfully in response. There was a noise of iron doors rushing open somewhere, and a four-footed thunderous trampling on the hollow-sounding earth. A steed came to the Liath Macha. Cuculain felt for his head in the dark, and bitted and bridled him ere he was aware. The horse reared and struggled. The Liath Macha dragged him down the Valley. "Struggle not, Black Shanglan," said Cuculain, "I have tamed thy better." The horse ceased to struggle."

 to the gosling as well. I just love it when my favorite people are cozied up together.

Well the name I really wanted was taken, it's in my sig line. So was the shortened version. So I used the short version along with my street number at the time. I made one mistake, I transposed the last two numbers when I created my lit id.

Zeb Carter - Led male character in Robert A. Heinlein - The Number of the Beast.

Youll have to ask Darnoel and stuff cause he made it up and I didnt really have a mind of my own for a couple weeks after that and stuff so I didnt really have a choice or anything but thats ok cause I think it kinda fits me and people hear know me like that or by Debbie which is my name so if they know its me what difference does it make what they call me unless its somthing bad and stuff and I wouldnt want that cause its just people being mean and I dont like mean people and stuff.
