I don't remember the name of the book or even how it fell into my 15-year-old hands, but it was a trashy British bodice-ripper about a woman abducted and raped by a pirate. I must have read that book 20 times. Gave me a taste for nonconsent that never went away. LOL.

*Groans* Okay, I'll agree that Clan of the Cave Bear was not that bad as far as erotica goes...but did that woman have to invent everything? She was like the Leonardo da Vinci of the Ice Age! It was pretty silly.

My first "porn" was a trashy romance novel I got from the library. Then I started getting LOTS of trashy romance novels from the library. Funny thing is, my mother was totally okay with it. I guess she figured I'd grow out of it, which I did. Now I just read straight up erotic stories!

However, my very first truly erotic novel -- where I went to the library and had to ask the librarian to fetch it from the back stacks, and had to have my mother's permission to boot -- was The Decameron. I loved that book.

I can remember when I was nine or ten, going to the library and sneaking books from the 'sex' section and taking them over to a corner at the other side of the library and reading them. The two that I remember for sure where "Human Sexuality - Male" and "-Female" by Sigmund Freud. They weren't porn, of course, and I didn't understand the point of all the studies but he sure talked about some interesting stuff. Later I started reading Michner's "Hawaii" and others. Then I got my hands on some pure raunch and became totally addicted. My wife thinks that if they split open my head, all they will find is a bunch of little dicks and pussies.

My mother was given BOTH (yes i said BOTH) Xavieria Hollander books when I was about 12.

Clan of the Cave Bear was probably my first erotica experience at the age of about 10. When I was 14 though I came across my Dad's Anais Nin collection which really got my fires burning.
