your favourite robin hood?

tv or film, mid-century vintage to modern-day classic

i loved this stuff as a kid, but my favourite incarnation of the whole tale is the taron egerton version. not just because of him but the whole imagining of it.

i really enjoyed it. so modern in its conception; sort of couched the whole story in modern political terms. H wasn't such a fan. i think what made it work so well lay in them not making robin hood the be all and end all.. it was a much broader scope and he was simply an element (if a main one).

morgan freeman was azeem in the kevin costner version. jamie dornan is in the one i'm banging on about as well
