i've noticed a few guitar players on the board, so i'll ask what's your favorite one. i'll start: i love em all (rickenbacker 4003, 4003"S", danelectro, fender strat, gibson doubleneck, gibson les paul), but the one i love most is my les paul. hot pickups (duncan jb at the bridge, duncan jazz and the neck), heavy gauge strings, and a fat and fast as hell neck. ok now it's your turn.

I have two guitars. I hate them both. One I actually love, but the pickup is fucked up under the G and B strings and it is annoying.

The one I like is a 68 specialty make Washburn Electric Accoustic. It is a phat guitar, but will cost me a lot to fix the pic up because it sits right under the bridge and the setting is touchy and no one in the area will touch it and warrenty it. :(

I tend to agree with Vasquez's privates.

I have very old gibson SG that makes a sweet mellow sound (she does not shout- she sings).

She ain't got no twang in her. I would have to haveher teeth fixed for that- and I love her the way I got her (and people reassure me I do the right thing by not fooling with nature).

So I guess I want a Telecaster so I can be a real punk.

i just got in from a gig and thought i'd see what was going on here. on stage i play a takamine. don't know the model offhand but it's one of their top ones with the onboard electronics. i've had it now for two years and it's mellowing out nicely. i also have a '72 yamaha flat top that i bought new and i'd put it up against just about anything tone wise.

i make custom electrics but i don't play them. i own a music store so i see a lot of great guitars comming through but sadly, most of the qualities of a good vintage electric are lost on me. i'm a song writer/rhythm playing sort of guy.

here's a couple of pics of ones i've made.

that was "the hawk". a commision for a local musician.

this one is "state of mind".

and this monster is one of the hottest shredder types you'll ever hear. has two of dimarzio's hottest pickups. teenagers love it but so far none of them have been able to afford it.:D

U look to have some hot axes UncleJ.

I know if you played my guitar you wold telll me not to fuck with her.

I need a new amp bad and would love a cool effects bank- but all I use is an ancient boss distortion and a cry-baby.

I ain't fucking with with my old guitar. I'll put money into a new amp or whatever.

My dad bought me that guitar when I was seventeen. I ain't touching it.

I admire you collection. I am not a musician. But I play, and I like the noise I make.

I fantasize about a good Telecaster and a tube amp.

the way i see it is not to use too many effects, just play nice and dry and LOUD! actually the best tone i've ever got is through my les paul and a pair of vox ac50's. i figure it's bert to use a high gain pickup and heavy strings in tandem with a low gain amp run flat out. that way yo get the purest signal right from the guitar.

my little sister plays guitar & she has her heart set on a PRS or a les paul gothic series

metal_minx, if your sister wants a prs, her best bet is a santana se model, they're pretty affordable and they're loaded with prs quality. forget the les paul gothic series, it's realyy over priced.
