While tring to cheer myself up today I started thinking of my favorite standup comedians and the routines that always make me laugh.

I love taking time out. :D

Steven Wright

Robbin Williams

Richard Pryor

Woody Allen (has anyone else actually heard any of the recordings from when he did stand up? It was hilarious!)

Smother's Brothers - their show AND the stand up

There is a comedian thats on Comedy Central every once and a while called Dane Cook. This guy's act cracks me up every time. I think he was actually in a movie called Simon Says with Dennis Rodman (I think it made a total of $14.35 at the box office)

Anyway...um...yeah... he's funny.

Steven Right
Paula POUNDstoned
Sam Killagain
Bobcat GOLDweight
PENNY Youngman
Gotyou MARX
Dennis Millioner
Crys[tal] Rock
Ellen Degenerate
Robin WillHeAims
WHOOPIE GOLDberg

I love comedies. I remember as a child watching one comedian all the time. Jerry Lewis..he could always make me laugh with his
silly antics. And he never had to use one cuss word to do it. Now it seems to take foul language to make people laugh.. But on that note, Sam Kinneson was one of the funniest, foul mouthed comedians around.

There is a ventriloquist named Jeff Dunham ( http://www.onastick.com/ ) who is hilarious!

OMG - FINALLY someone who has heard of Jeff & Peanut!!!!! I love them! I went to their show a few times. He goes to my town about once a year. Except I moved 2 yrs ago, so I haven't had the chance to see him.

This was the last time I went to his show in '98, when he autographed the peanut I bought from him. I have the purple guy still around sitting on a shelf. :D

LOL! Yes, my wife and I try to catch his show at lease once a year.

The weird thing is, we always have to drag our friends kicking and screaming the first time, then they pester us about when he's going to be in town again!

Hand down....it has to be this county guy named Rodney Carrington. If anyone needs a laugh you can download some of his stuff. He is what most would consider a "redneck:, but he is the funniest man on Earth.

Not only does he do standup, but he makes up these songs that crack me up. He has one called "Dear Penis" that is hilarious.

A few lines of it:

Dear Penis, I don't think I like you anymore
You used to watch me shave
Now all you do is stare at the floor..
Oh dear penis, I don't think I like you anymore

It used to be you and me,
a paper towel and a dirty magazine
Thats all we needed to get by
Now it seems things have changed
And I think that you're the one to blame.
Oh dear penis, I don't think I like you anymore...

It goes on with his penis talking back to him...and is the funniest shit I've ever heard. His standup routine is so funny I literally left there crying.

If anyone wants to listen to something from him, drop me a note and I'll email it to ya!

There's a guy who is really good named Mitch Hedberg. Really funny, goofy stuff.

I also really like Dave Chapelle and Dennis Miller.
