Over at the "My Favorite Color" thread and discussing what movie star's middle name they'd most like to have.

---dr.M.

Great idea for a thread, Dr. M!

My favorite color changes with the seasons, or sometimes just with my whim. My default favorite color is black. I wear a lot of black. For spring, I'm adding accessories in ice-blue or pale shades of turquoise.

I don't know which celebrity has "Daphne" as a middle name, but I'd like to be called "Daphne." In school, there were always so many Susans that I came to dislike my name. I don't think I've ever met a Daphne.

Puce.
no other color sounds the same. Chartruese is just... too high brow...

Agnes...horrid name. id love it.

Favorite color?

It really depends. Red, blue & green.

~lucky

Does it count if you like your name but hate how it's spelled? Damn hippy era.

Chartreuse would be a good "actress/model" name for a waitress. The kind of waitress who introduces herself as "Raven" and never comes back to replace the dirty flatware you complained about.

I change my hair colour. It has actually gotten better with the years, darker, so I don't mind it now (except noticing grey these days  ) but it used to be light brown, which is one of those in between yuk things. I dyed it all shades of blond, raspberry and caramel . . . right now chestnut natural. I like the dark look, but it does make one appear older. Spring arrives with a new colour for me!

Eyes, I do love blue. My dad had the most beautiful baby blue, cloudless summer sky eyes. My mom, the richest brown. Me? HOW the fuck did I get green  Nonetheless they change from blue to deep green to almost a green grey depending on mood, and I love that.

I am with you on the black. It has been my mainstay since Siousxie and the Banshees, and funky Queen Street art crowd days. (likened to smaller villiage) This year though? I will try a different shade of black in my wardrobe? :|

Hey, I am no longer required to be experimental!

Dark grey is the new black.

I started out with black hair, bright blue eyes.

After a bit of life, they've gone to black hair, gray soulless eyes.

I could label this as a metaphor or a sign or the visible extension of the soul, but then I'd start weeping uncontrollably and curling up into a little ball.

On a serious note, they have their originality factor. Not many people have gray eyes.

I feel your pain. Green eyes that often wander into grey.

But that I kinda like. I'm easily amused.

The dirty dishwater hair, I could do without.

M does. They change to blue when she's happy and light, light grey when she's angry.

Me, I've got blue eyes that change to grey when I'm angry and teal when I'm in a great mood.

I'd like to change my hair colour, and I will do it next month - I'm gonna add some more highlights to it. Can't imagine myself being anything but blond, I've got such light skin that anything else looks wrong on me.

My name... I like my name. It's a concept. It's Me.

My shoe size, on the other hand... foot... I'd like to have smaller feet, so I could fit them into the cute mini-shoes that passes for "regular sizes" here in Sweden.
(Damned baby-feet!)

I thought this thread would be all the rage. It's supposed to be what most of us spend our time doing here, right?

Unless...

I did go off the meds that control my Sarcasm Recognition Deficit Disorder. Could I have misunderstood something earlier?

I'm so embarrassed.

What the hell. Might as well enjoy it.

Interesting.

My left eye starts out blue-green and changes to grey during humid weather. The right eye, the lazy one, could be any color. I can't see that one head-on in the mirror.

For hair, I got tired of changing the color and just shaved it. I have a tatoo of auburn tresses now, done up in a braid that trails down my back to my waist.

I was thinking of something more exotic...

Select anything you like from the list below. These are names my friends and I give at restaurants where our waitress introduces herself as "Raven."

Aubergine

Gazelle

Elke

Canoé (works best for a male; pronounced "KAH-no-way'"

Hey, I kind of like Gazelle... now if I could just move like one...

You will, if you become Gazelle. Let the name define you.

Whenever I introduce myself to a waitress as Elke, I'm half-convinced I'm Norwegian by the time the salad course arrives.
