Or do you think the draw is my Lit name? If so, I will change it or simply leave. I am really surprised how old this has gotten so quickly (i.e. the ass clown come ons via PM).

Well, from a male perspective your nick sure conveys an idea of ... accessibility, so to speak ... and it is true that the low number of posts could lead some to file you in the list of those self-styled (everything on Lit or on the internet is arguable) women in search of a/some temporary fluffer/s for the hubbies' benefit.

But I'm afraid the receipt of such pm's won't decrease along the way, according to what I've heard by many Lit ladies

They will certainly subside, but won't stop completely. Even if you have no yahoo, AIM or MSN details on your profile, you'll still get guys with 1 or less post counts to their name PM'ing you to ask if you want to watch them cum on webcam

You get used to it though. Ignoring 'em usually works. Those that are particularly offensive, you should post on here and reply to them, linking them to your post. They might get the message then.

This IS an adult board correct? As such I wanted to come up with a name that was fun. And although I have been lurking here for some time and know there are a large number of ass clowns present, I was hoping the 'adult' side of the board would prevail. As is often the case, maybe I was expecting too much and giving the clowns way too much credit here.

As I said, I might change my name (you can do that right?) or just leave. It has been my greatest fear actually. Having perused some of the threads and been interested in some of the discussion and banter, I am disappointed to see so much degenerate into bullying and extreme views.

Where is the reasoned debate thread? Or the grown up adult thread? Please point me in the right direction!

Mary, ahem ... Moist_Mary , there is really nothing wrong with your nick. Lit, and the internet in general, are a projection of life: posters are real people and, as in real life, some of them are jerks, others are okay, some you like, some you dislike ... plus the anonimity works as an overdrive.

I am sure you'll find what/whom you're looking for, what/who ever that is

I do a bit of both.

Some I will ignore, some I will do the simple and abrupt "thank you".

I tend to look at their profile and/or previous posts. If I think there is a chance that the sender is only a bit of an ass, with a nice person trying to get out then I will do a longer reply. I can think of 2 fairly recent occassions when that has worked and they have become regular and welcomed posters on the boards.

The best ones (or should that be the worst ones) invariably find their way here

Mary as the other have said, there's really not much you can do about it, give them a cursory glance just to make sure it isn't the odd interesting PM and learn to love the delete button, i mean it's really just a small inconvenience when you consider what the other benefits of the forums and PM feature can provide... like perving on my girls Lovebug and Kaybutt (kendra) here

*smiles* it does get annoying, I'm sure..well, i wouldn't know But I guess I'd just say don't let the inane actions of a few get in the way of you enjoying your time on here.

If the PMs annoy you while you're posting, you can just turn that feature off while you're online, and then turn it back on when you're offline, then when you come back on, do a quick clean...

Hope you find a way to ignore them without letting it affect your time here too much... but either way, welcome to Lit. We sincerely hope you enjoy your new addiction
