Is BDSM a part of your daily life (lifestyle, I suppose is the common word for it), or just in certain areas of your life, such as in the bedroom and/or household decisions, etc? And finally, a silly question which always cracks me up: On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the most, 1 being the least), how BDSM are you?

Yeah, I've turned into a 24/7 domme over the last few months - and I love it.

The scale thing, I don't know. I've never been around other kinsters enough to see how BDSM they were. I'm over a 5, that's for sure. And well below 10, if extreme stuff doesn't count; the most extreme I get is a little bit of blood and very light cutting, and these aren't requirements for me.

i am not involved in a bdsm relationship. i'm in a D/s relationship, live a Master/slave lifestyle, with every breath i take. as for bdsm, it's a very very small part of our sexual lives.

Sir and I live together. I have a preteen and we both work a full time, very stressful job. We come home and do all the household stuff, the family stuff....but we still stay in our D/s mode. I call him Sir, I fix his plate at dinner, I make sure he's comfortable and doesn't need anything before settling into the couch with him. We do play about once a week - which is what I'm assuming you mean by being BDSM, the play not the D/s part. I do thoroughly enjoy playing, and the marks that come from it, however it's not the be all and end all for me. I could be very happy in a relationship that didn't contain play at all, or very seldom, as long as there was that D/s aspect. I'm more about the rules and protocols than the spankings and waxings.
