After waking up on Monday, December 8th, Jason went into the kitchen to find his mother has not made any breakfast, instead sitting at the table with hear head down, listening to President Roosevelt's speech: "Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan..." It took that sentence and Jason dropped the glass he was holding and as it hit the floor, shattering. He knew it was his time, he knew he'd have to get revenge, and the only way to do it, was by joining the Marines.
