You Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson. You're now my Bitches!

So I finished tonight with the toughest test thus far this semester.

Ten short-answer questions and one essay question. The short answers were pretty much surprises. They were all variations of "Quote a line from a poem by [one of the eight poets we covered the last three weeks] and name that poem". I didn't ace that part, but I think I did well enough. I couldn't pull a quote from Cullen and I mangled a couple of others, but I did better than most.

The essay question asked us to identify various poetic themes and styles used by Whitman and Dickinson and discuss their aplications in poems by six other poets (Frost, Cullen, Hughes, Millay, Cumming, and Dunbar).

I wrote a bit over three pages, longhand.

I think I aced that part.

So I'm feeling damned good. Good enough not to be worried aboutthe next section: Ezra Pound and T S Eliot and the pluralistic themes of their poetry.

Hah! Child's play.

Umm...what's "pluralistic"?
