that stupid defense attorney... 'we don't want any more black pastors...'
so now there are close to 100 hundred pastors outside the courtroom holding prayers, and Jesse Jackson turned up, too :D Will the defense attorney now claim this bevy of religious men holding prayers outside are also there as an intimidation of the jurors?

i have to wonder if the pastors are also there to help calm any backlash if those men should walk free. From today's questioning by the prosecution, I can't see how they would, though.

She was only a minister's daughter, but I wouldn't put anything pastor! [rimshot]

Especially the two biggest race hustlers in the nation, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton.

How dare you. Do you really think you could tear Reverend Al away from his quiet contemplation of Holy Scripture and avoidance of the pomp and ceremony of public life? Never!

I don't think so. Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and others are "look at me" ambulance chasers. That doesn't mean it's a good move to emphasize their comparative right to be there.

Not just once, but like two or three times over a few days. Coupled with white washing the jury, I hope there are disbarment hearings soon.

The Judge, the prosecution, the defence, and now the pastors have all made their contributions in turning this trial into a circus.

The Jury is perhaps the only hope for salvaging something out of the mess.

.
This case is similar to the Rottenhouse trial in that the defendants are claiming self defense when THEY provoked the encounters and created the emergency. In the Ahmaud Arbery case, the defendants have no leg to stand on because they didn't witness Ahmaud Arbery committing a felony when they initiated their "citizens arrest".

The attack on the presence of black pastors is the defense teams desperate grasp for a mistrial or grounds for appeal.

The judge rightfully brushed the issue aside.

Laz just can't stop lying about Rittenhouse. It's like it's a reflex or something.

racist lawyer just cain't shut his mouth

After previously complaining about the presence of “Black pastors” and civil rights luminaries in the courtroom—including Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and a man he misidentified as the late icon Martin Luther King, Jr.—lawyer Kevin Gough declared on Friday that his client William “Roddie” Bryan is the victim of a “public lynching” by what he called a “woke left mob.”

“Just because they haven’t put a gallery up— they haven’t put a podium up outside with a hangman’s noose on it doesn’t mean that this isn’t a trial—despite the best efforts of this court—this isn’t a trial that’s been infected by mob violence of a woke left mob,” Gough said, not specifying any alleged violent act other than the one his client is accused of committing.

from the teams using that 1863 law (now largely repealed) that was initiated in order to hunt down and capture/kill runaway SLAVES. the tone deafness is excruciating.

“This bill makes Georgia the first state in the country to repeal its citizen’s arrest statue,” Kemp, a Republican, said before signing the measure. “Today we are replacing this Civil War-era law, ripe for abuse, with language that balances the sacred right of self-defense of person and property with our shared responsibility to root out injustice and set our state on a better path forward.”

Those who had long pushed for the repeal said the law was approved in 1863 to round up escaped slaves and was later used to justify the lynching of African Americans. Some other states are now also considering repealing such laws.

The attorney for Greg McMichael must have been a first grade teacher prior to going to law school.

All three are going to be found guilty.

I think you are 100% correct...it did not have the affect they wanted.

We all should start showing up, in court, in protests armed, at their white nationalist parties out in the swamplands! Chuckles.
