You Might Be Misrepresenting God If...

it's a little wordy, but its essence is correct, IMO. thanks! :rose:

Loved it and agreed whole-heartedly, this is the one that really struck me:

I think I agree...

One might sum them each up with: You might be misrepresenting God of you swallow...

.... doctrine

What did you expect! It's a porn site... sometimes.

If you claim to be representing God,

you are bloody well not.

it occurred to me that a companion thread, "you might be misrepresenting the universe and what we know about it, through scientific study, if you..." might be appropriate.

as neon indicated, the line is "God is unknowable and not to be put in a box by *your* concepts". i say this can only be flogged for so long.

Well, He's never said anything when I've misrepresented Him before . . .

. . . and I have made Him a character in at least two of my Lit stories, more or less . . .

. . . so I CRACK!

okay, that hurt. Never mind.

sheesh, you'd think I asked THE QUESTION or something

seriously, nice posting, SK. And the difference between the school of thought criticized by this writer and science, of course, is that science that does not admit of the possibility that it's wrong is not really science.
