You learn something new every day

No matter how ordinary or boring your day might be, there's always SOMETHING happening that will give you another experience, and make you a little wiser. Sometimes, you learn a big thing, like how to install and run another operative system on your PC. Sometimes, you learn something small, like the fact that a sandwich with grilled cheese tastes even better if you sprinkle a little thyme on it.

And sometimes, you learn things the hard way, like I did today.

Today I learned, that if you're going to use Body Shop's Sugaring to wax your legs, and the stupid goo won't work, then it's NOT a good idea to test the stuff on your arms...

OK, so I got the hair off my arms allright, but instead, I have about 30 red, infected dots on my arms. I look like I'm having an allergic reaction to something rectangular!

M has promised to lend me an electric ladyshave. She'll start looking for it as soon as she's stopped laughing.

LOL ... no offense, but that is just funny :D.

I have learned today that without flour I can't make a proper pizza pastry ... and that it is bad to be made aware of this fact after the supermarkets have closed for the day

So you see, everybody has to learn some things the hard way ... but at least we learn, thats the important fact.

Dear CA,
Even I know that some sort of flour would be needed for any attempt at pastrying. Good grief! I thought I was domestically disinclined.

Ps. Anybody got a ping pong paddle?

Maths, with your AV in sight I'm thinking just the sight of a ping pong paddle would make *you* break out in little red bumps.

Today I learned I am a Bitch

wait a cotton pickin minute

I already knew that, I just didn't know the apparently endless bounds of my bitchiness but it's a long and involved story for another time.

Today I learned how good single malt scotch can taste. Okay, so I repeated that class....:p

today i learned that swedish people don't like hair on their arms

Today I learned that og means "or" I think in Norwegian.

Og

Today I learned...

Well, nothing, but it's still early. But yesterday I think I learned just how much of an asshole I really am. All I need now is to learn how to change that.:(
Oh, well. It could be worse.

Oh, well.

Or you and I could team up as two rag tag misfits who

(dun dun dun)

Form a crime fighting duo

thereby eliminating crime (well mostly)
and becoming heros.
An honor which we spit in the general direction of.

Regards the heartless bitch

Almost any gaggle of politicians usually ARE the criminals that a duo of rag tag vigilantes should try to string up.

Sorry, ogg - seems like you have wasted a whole day learning nothing. "og" means "and" in Norwegian.

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear this. I imagine it looks like you plucked all the hairs out of that rectangular patch of skin and the hair follicles are irritated. :(

Hair (sigh)...it grows where we don't need it and it falls out from where we need it most.

But now I have learnt something thanks to Svenskaflicka.

That looks like Hollywood-speak for *TLAMS* *THUD* *WHACKA* *TFPLP* (words that the Batman series often used - or should have)

All you need now is a cool logo - that would fit on a light.

Do you know how short a nano-second is? Very, very, very short. So short, in fact, that our minds can't really grasp how short it is.

Last week, I learned that there is something even smaller than "nano", and that is "pico". Apparently, "pico" is about 1/1000 times smaller than "nano". It may be difficult to understand just how small this is, but I'll give you an example, which should make it all perfectly clear.

"I have about 1 pico-percent's chance of convincing the social office to let me move into that bigger, nicer apartment that costs 1.600:- SEK more / month."

NOW you understand, huh?

It always comes down to little things, Flicka.

Like the guy who asked for a sample of "Spanish Fly" and instead got a taste of "Spanish Flu."
