Yes and no - I put that in there because each person in a relationship has the right to know who else is sharing their spouses attentions and resources. From my point of view, bigamy is a person getting married more than once with one or more of his spouses not knowing about the other partner(s), whereas polygamy all persons invloved know and agree to the relationship(s). Bigamy is cheating and decietful, polygamy is just unusual and hard to do well.

I am for POLYGAMY! And with men only. The more paychecks coming in the better. Also, I like variety and do not like to be considered a "loose" woman. Actually I am not loose at all..~laughing~ So if I marry all of my lovers I will be socially acceptable and enjoying a higher standard of living. Come to think of it, would the husband's consider themselves husband's-in-law to each other? Oh, and that would bring in more than one mother-in-law too. *shutter* I will remain single and be considered a "loose" woman. The thought of more than one mother-in-law outweighs the advantages of multiple husband's.

Is it ironic that....

as I open this thread to read it, my phone rings. It is my husband of 13 years calling me. That would be the same husband who is now on his second illegal marriage since we separated.

What is more, he is calling to tell me that he is now filing for a divorce from me since he wants this last wife to be the legal one.

Honestly, I am so much better off without him. Just angers me that after 7 years of the struggling to provide for my kids without ever having applied for a hand out, he has been married twice more. He uses every government agency he can for food, shelter and college tuition and wants me to pay to be free of him and allow him to keep this wife.
