The Powerball lottery jackpot is up over $100 million dollars. I know the odds get worse the higher it goes because people like me - who wait for a jumbo jackpot - come out in droves. But somebody has to win. Right?

I've only played infrequently but I have had a modicum of success over time: $80 here and there. Actually, I fool myself into thinking I have won lots of times. If I buy $10 worth of tickets and I 'hit' on one of the lines...I prefer to think of it as winning $3 instead of losing $7! :) (We all justify stuff like that!)

Anybody every win anything? Lottery, bingo, raffle, etc.

I found a penny and picked it up...unfortunatly my luck wasn't that good, but you gotta take what you get.

I won 25 dollars from a slot machine last weds. (off of $1!)
(Course I spent 30 that night :p)

I won a lift ticket to a ski resort in high school. I still can't remember how I became registered for it.

Won a 3 piece set of knives once at a Ducks Unlimited Banquet

1 (fishing knife) - Was Dad's Christmas present
2 (Gutting knife) - Was my brother's Christmas Present
3 (Locking blade) - Mine! All Mine!

Actually - I've had more then my share of luck at various conventions/conferences when it comes to the end of conference raffle... I'm hoping my winning streak will continue in Vegas...

I do play the state lottery sometimes but can't say I've had much luck with that...

You, too?

I did the same thing only I pullled a muscle bending over to retrieve it and was laid up for three days.

I won...

a weekend getaway at a resort in the mountains from my bank. It had just opened and they were trying to get people to go...

various small amounts of money from the bingo scratch-off cards...

and...

free food from McDonalds in the Monopoly game! ;) WHOO HOO!!

Many years ago...

I took a girl to dinner at a casino here in Las Vegas.

The tab came to $24.75 sand there was a qurater slot machine right outside the restuarant.

I dropped my quarter in change into the slotmachine and pulled the handle: I won $25.00 (= Dinner on the house)

Over the thirty years since then, Slot machines have paid for almost every meal I've eaten in casinos -- usually not that immediately, but between cheap buffets and a little luck on the slot machines, I'm still a bit ahead.
