"You got some scissors?" Student confronts another student about dreadlocks

Is it really true? Do you have a neck beard, Rory?

In Donald Trump's America, it's normal and acceptable behavior.

He should move to Australia. The surfer-types with dreadlocks are the norm.

Lmao I only saw it now. True… Typical teenage confrontation :

""You're saying that I can't have a hair style because of your culture? Why?" the man said.
"Because it's my culture," she said.

The man tells her that dreadlocks were part of Egyptian culture and asks her, "Are you Egyptian? Nah, man, you're not." She asked him if he was Egyptian, and he told her no.

"Wait, where's Egypt?" she asked. "Tell me."

He responded: "You know what, girl ... you have no right to tell me what I cannot wear."

Lmao... Look at me! Dude pretending to be a woman...check! Posting to get attention...check! Following Rory around hoping he'll notice me...check! I'm just like Andy Thrope!

Now... In typical Hashtag style and to try and appear relevant, I will copy and paste from the link provided in the OP.

Am I the only one getting the irony of a being outraged about bullying on a forum full of internet bullies?

At least scissor girl was face to face with someone, not like the little bandwidth courage cowards here.

No, because the difference between the two cases is huge:

The black girl was a well-built powerful bully who picked on an equally powerful target: a guy.

The typical GB bully: a weak, poorly endowed man who's trying to compensate and vent his frustration and anger by stalking what he perceives as being "weak" targets ('unpopular' posters or female posters).

Although there are some common factors here: their level of education and their IQ.

Outrage? You may be the only one seeing outrage, unless you're referring to another thread.

You think that you're oh so funny and clever because the few "playground-minded posters" (like eyer would say) that typically giggle at and encourage your "witty jokes" are just like you in terms of smarts, education and poor taste.

You can tell what a person is about by the company they keep.

An internet bully is nothing like a physical confrontation.

To suggest as much does a disservice to those who are bullied face-to-face.

He speaks of bullies quite a bit. It's like he was bullied all his life and never grew past the pain and suffering of it all.

Coming back to this particular case:
I would have been outraged if the outcome was different.

But the guy managed to outsmart her in a clever way, by not retorting to physical aggression towards a girl.
His tongue-in cheek comments were hillarious! and I bet that, in the end, the funny dreadlocks and this incident all worked out well for him - lots of dates after this.

I'll amend my first post: if you have someone who's posting personal info of yours (names, addresses, pictures, etc.) to attack you, that's a different level. But if all you have are 100 people calling you names post after post, you simply close the laptop. If something like that affects you deeply, then the internet is not for you.

And here's where this dood shows his partisanship. What he means is, for example:

What his idol Rob is doing (Relentless racist and bigotted or cancer attack alts, twisting the knife repeatedly in the heart of a grieving father, attacks on underage family members) those are perfectly ok, because he didn't post anybody's personal info.

Whereas one or two of his targets - who got so exasperated and upset by the chronic vile posts - and lashed out only once, hoping that this might deterr his bizarre obsessions : those are bullies.

Uuuhuh.

(Cool mentality, bro)

EDIT.
If people don't take a stand or choose to leave instead, the internet (which is an awesome leisure place for many) will end up being run by bullies.

I drove by SF State twice yesterday, on both sides (19th Ave and Junipero Serra Blvd) and I didn't see anything like this. I always miss this stuff. Stonestown traffic was bad, too.

Oh, the dreadlocks thang? Fucker deserves to wear them. How often are they clean? Yuk.

When she grabbed him and tried to block his way he should have reached out and snapped her fuckin' wrist around so hard she would need a dozen surgeries just to pick her own nose again while at the same time grabbing for something to stab her boyfriend with b/c you know he's going to try and get froggy.

And had she tried to grab my phone, kick that bitch in the chest right the fuck down the stairs.

Because that's what you should get when you go around assaulting people.

Acting like that, she's lucky she hasn't gotten her fucking teeth knocked out.
