What kind of a clown lies about working at McDonald's? That's what the Free Beacon wants to know, but this might turn out as thin as ... well, a McDonald's patty:

Harris’s work at McDonald’s, which allegedly took place at a franchise in the California Bay Area the summer after her freshman year in college, is a recent addition to her carefully curated life story. For decades, Harris never mentioned it, not on the campaign trail nor in two books. It’s absent from a job application and résumé she submitted a year after she graduated from college. Third-party biographers did not write about it. Not until Harris ran for president in 2019 and spoke to a labor rally in Las Vegas did she mention the job, telling the crowd that she "was a student when I was working in a McDonald’s."
McDonald’s boasts that one in eight Americans has worked at the fast food chain, and Harris, whose campaign is light on policy and heavy on image, has been using her fast food job to portray what the Washington Post, in a credulous piece this month on the Harris-McDonald’s connection, described as "her humble background." (Harris is the daughter of an eminent cancer researcher, whom her campaign calls "a working mother," and a tenured Stanford economist, who split when Harris and her sister were children.)
Early this month, Harris’s campaign said she used her McDonald’s wages to pay for college. "Vice President Harris is the daughter of a working mother and worked at a McDonald’s to put herself through college," campaign spokeswoman Lauren Hitt said this month. A pro-Harris super PAC ad said she "work[ed] her way through school at McDonald’s." And former president Bill Clinton, at the Democratic National Convention, joked that "she’ll break my record as president who has spent the most time at McDonald’s."

COMRADE OGILVY RECEIVES FRESH AIRBRUSHING:

Out: Kamala Scrubs Berkeley and Canada Out of Her Life Story.

On the front page of The New York Times on August 26 is a story explaining that the Harris campaign has an allergy to noting their candidate was born in the radical tumult of Berkeley in the 1960s. Instead, a convention video listed her childhood home as located in “East Bay.” It can’t be “The People’s Republic of Berkeley” in anyone’s reintroduction to moderate voters.
Reporters Heather Knight and Alexandra Berzon acknowledged Kamala’s mother Shyamala was “steeped in the social activism vibrant in both Berkeley and Oakland.” They told readers that the word “Berkeley” went missing early in her career, when Harris ran for Attorney General of California in 2008.
But in other places, it’s more explicit. On their podcast The Daily — broadcast across the country on taxpayer-subsidized National Public Radio — Times reporter Astead Herndon underlined that activism was prominent in her upbringing.
“This is someone who is growing up really around not only just a Black community, but a very prideful, rich history of Blackness…The Black Panthers’ headquarters was blocks from her house.” Her parents made “a very intentional effort to place their children in Black affirmation spaces,” teaching black history in a radical activist way.
The “reintroduction” shapers also left out Kamala’s teenage years in Canada. From 1976 to 1982 (from roughly 12 to 18), she lived in Montreal, where her mother worked at McGill University. The Times noted Montreal “fared even worse than Berkeley” at the convention. “The city’s name was completely excised from Ms. Harris’s re-telling of her childhood.”
In: ‘I Did Fries:’ Kamala Harris Claims She Worked at McDonald’s, but She Never Mentioned It Until She Ran for President. Did She Really Toil Beneath the Golden Arches?

Harris’s work at McDonald’s, which allegedly took place at a franchise in the California Bay Area the summer after her freshman year in college, is a recent addition to her carefully curated life story. For decades, Harris never mentioned it, not on the campaign trail nor in two books. It’s absent from a job application and résumé she submitted a year after she graduated from college. Third-party biographers did not write about it. Not until Harris ran for president in 2019 and spoke to a labor rally in Las Vegas did she mention the job, telling the crowd that she “was a student when I was working in a McDonald’s.”
McDonald’s boasts that one in eight Americans has worked at the fast food chain, and Harris, whose campaign is light on policy and heavy on image, has been using her fast food job to portray what the Washington Post, in a credulous piece this month on the Harris-McDonald’s connection, described as “her humble background.” (Harris is the daughter of an eminent cancer researcher, whom her campaign calls “a working mother,” and a tenured Stanford economist, who split when Harris and her sister were children.)
Early this month, Harris’s campaign said she used her McDonald’s wages to pay for college. “Vice President Harris is the daughter of a working mother and worked at a McDonald’s to put herself through college,” campaign spokeswoman Lauren Hitt said this month. A pro-Harris super PAC ad said she “work[ed] her way through school at McDonald’s.” And former president Bill Clinton, at the Democratic National Convention, joked that “she’ll break my record as president who has spent the most time at McDonald’s.”
At the same time, however, Harris’s image makers tweaked the story ever so slightly. According to an August 14 item in Politico, an early cut of a Harris campaign ad said she worked at McDonald’s to “pay her way” through college. Aides changed the script to reflect that “she really took the summer job just to earn a bit more spending money,” as Politico put it.
The Politico story, which was published just hours after the Washington Free Beacon reached out to the Harris campaign with a series of detailed questions about Harris’s claims regarding her job at McDonald’s, didn’t say when exactly—or where—Harris worked at the restaurant. The campaign did not respond to the Free Beacon’s inquiries.
It is possible that Harris did indeed work at McDonald’s in the early 1980s. But the absence of that detail in public records and her campaign’s coyness and refusal to provide any further details raise questions about what is now a foundational narrative.

Harris never mentioned working at McDonald's til she ran for president

Trump never mentioned that he changed from being pro choice to pro life until he ran for president.

I'm sure those are equivalent politically motivated changes. 🙄

Ahhh ! And she never mentioned her lap dancing either!
WTF !!
This is the new issue
The lie that isn’t??
We just asked, said the fat disgusting sea lion!!
Based on AIR!!
Apparently for this job it matters, so you Russians need to question it!!

Like, I don’t know, a birth certificate??
Swiftboating for the votes you already have locked up

She didn’t claim she was Black either

Pathetic !

Trump never mentioned grabbing people by the pussy until he had a show on NBC

I don't wear my Arby's experience on my sleeve either (although it did actually teach me some important life lessons), and I'm pretty sure I've never had it on my resume, even back when it was my only paid work experience.

yup

she lied

DEVELOPING: Kamala campaign has stopped referencing her alleged job at McDonald's and won't respond to media questions seeking the location of the McDonald's store and the dates of her employment at McDonald's, which appears nowhere in her memoirs or early resumes...developing...

Professionals don't put summer jobs they had when they were teenagers on their resumes.
I'm not a member of the managerial elite and I don't even put all of my fast food jobs on my resume. Particularly the one where the general manager didn't like me from day one (I suspect because I was a little older than the teenagers that were most of the team), only hired me because the franchisee instructed her to do so, and after training week, refused to schedule me. I moved on quickly after that and I don't see a reason to include that, or the Kirby gig that turned out to be a scam. Harris not putting a job that probably wouldn't help (or hurt) her on her resume, that could be for any number of reasons.

Have you looked at those supposed "public records?"

Yeah, I didn't think so.
Dude no I have not but I'm not the one making the baseless accusation.

Do you think the person I quoted has?

Yeah didn't think so.

I can cite to news media stories about her career failures. I can cite to videos where she admits to violating the law and laughing about it. I can cite to poll numbers in her past as well as today.

You can only point to her "Peter Principle" career advancement achievements. Which isn't exactly the measure of success you want others to believe it is.

In her prior run for the Presidency, she didn't get a single vote. She is so bad as a career politician even her home State of California couldn't support her. In fact, she was OVERWHELMINGLY VOTED OUT of California to become a Senator in DC just so she wouldn't run for Governor and wouldn't be here to fuck the people over any more than she already had.

NOT LOVIN’ IT: McDonald’s Offered Kamala a Chance to Work at Restaurant Like Trump—She Never Responded.

So, for those keeping score at home, here’s the rundown:
  • Kamala says she worked at McDonald’s.
  • Trump says, ‘Yeah, no you didn’t.’
  • Trump mocks her by working at McDonald’s.
  • Kamala is offered a chance to actually work at McDonald’s and … doesn’t.
How hard would it have been to accept the invite and, based on your alleged experience having worked there, run circles around Trump? Wonder why she wouldn’t jump at the chance. If she held a similar event, legacy media outlets left and right would have fawned over it. It would have disarmed Trump’s line of attack. She could have even argued he was lying, not her.
But she didn’t.
You have to admit, Trump’s move here was genius-level trolling. And this is coming from somebody who initially thought the argument was a little petty and unnecessary.
It’s a microcosm of the election, really. Trump saw a chance to prove he’s more a man of the people and seized on it. Pounced even, as the media might say.
Harris was actually handed a chance to pounce herself and prove she’s not a cold and detached person who makes Hillary Clinton look lively by comparison, and she dropped the ball.
If you can’t make good choices when it comes to working at McDonald’s, how can you be trusted to run the country? Self-awareness: -500 points.

I see nothing she could gain by sinking to his level. Not to mention there's never been any real reason to believe she lied about working at McDonald's.

She said IT did work there

McD said IT lied

What does all or any of this have to do with her prosecutorial success?

The people of California also voted for Reagan, Newsom, and McCarthy who has the most drug and violent crime in that State.

Kamala's "prosecutorial success" is a lie foisted off onto the gullible to ensure that they turn into believers as they also become useful idiots.

"Useful idiot" is what Trump is to Putin. It applies to nothing on the Dem side.
