...I came for two reasons,...to expose a novice sub to the truth,...and to learn more about BDSM, ...as I might want to experience myself.

Truth to be told, I was here already before the BDSM section of Lit existed. So when at some stage it turned into an own little corner I just followed the "mother thread".

As why I was participating in the Mother Thread .. well, it was a "How To" thread and I thought I could help spread some info on BDSM to those who were seeking information.

So basically I didn't find BDSM talk, "it" found me and has held me captive since!

this is my story and I stick to it!

Another "other" here. I had been at Lit for a long time reading stories before I even knew that the BB's existed.

It wasn't until Laurel and Mano featured the "Mother Thread" in the Lit newsletter, that I found the BB... and I have been here ever since...

I've been here since way before Cym started the mother thread in the How To section. {Had to change my name because of the loss of an email address and problems with cookies}

I believe that the original purpose of the thread as a teaching/learning tool was invaluable to anyone just starting to explore BDSM. I am interested in how others conduct their relationships.

I campaigned for this forum but. at times, wish the old mother thread was still going. It was interesting to see the twists and turns it took.

i came to Lit to read stories and such, and found the BB by accident. i had just found out about the whole BDSM lifestyle, and was trying to figure out if this was for me.. i found so many wonderful people who were more than willing to answer any questions that i had, and i will be forever grateful for that!!

I was here a long while before the forum, or even the Mother thread. Actually, I was here a long while before the originator of the Mother thread, even.

This is what I do, so it seemed a fairly natural fit when the time came to start the forum. After all, somebody had to run it; I was drafted (among others) to do so.

I have to chime in with "other" also like many I was around way before most of the other forums were here. I was in the begining of the mother thread watched it grow and then blossom into a forum also.

I still come to learn and share thoughts with fellow bdsmer's .........There are alot of good folks here to learn from and from many diffrent aspects of the relam.....

Although I haven't reached every goal I've set for myself I'd have to say that I'm quite fulfilled with myself, my life, and the progress I'm making with both.

I think expecting love to fulfill you does more damage than good in the long run. A person's love should, ideally, be a gift that enhances your fulfillment. Not a plug for the gaping holes in your life.

I was posting stories before I discovered the boards were even here, and was interested in learning more about the lifestyle, trying to determine if it was something I wanted to explore w/ a partner i was pretty sure was a Dom.

The relationship has ended, but I am still lurking and learning and writing.
