Anybody practice yoga? I bought a video tape, I'm thinking I need something more basic or would like something with more explanation of the stretches. Book or video? Recommendations?

I used to do with with my exgf. She got really into it at one time and could do some rather amazing things with her body. I don't know the name of the video she had but it started off very basic and then moved up to moderate dificulty. I can ask her next time I talk to her but I don't know when that will be.

yoplait has this really kick ass coconut cream pie flavor that i just love......what?........it's what?.........'scuse me.:)

I don't have any recommendations but if you master that legs behind the head trick I'd like to see pictures.

:D

As much as the videos can be great, I would highly recommend you find a class.

If you're not doing some of those stretches properly, you could wind up being counter-productive.

There are so many little things - hip placement, spine angle, etc - that make a big difference. When I was doing yoga, I never noticed my own mistakes. My instructor would come along and move me just a fraction and I would feel a dramatic difference.

that's bullshit. everybody knows a texan invented yoga......sheeesh, some people.

I'm doing Richard Hittleman's Yoga, 28 day exercise plan. I've gotten through it before but didn't keep it up. Now I'm just on day 5. But it's very good if you're just starting out. I gained a lot of flexibility last time. And it only takes about 15 minutes a day.
