Thanks to Gammy and Bratcat for letting me know my computer was randomly sending off infected attatchments.

Be careful of this one, it installs a back door and a passlogger on your system. *sighs*

And thanks to BK, who fucking rocks for helping me figure out what it was and get rid of the fucker.

Bumping for the Overnight Crew.

(Or Day, depending on where you are)

Yet another reason to never use Outlook.

I agree totally. I refuse to even touch Outlook. I got a virus sent to me by a family member last week who NEVER emails me. That was the first clue it was a virus. Second is, my brother got the same one sent to him and it had the same file attachment. It was quickly deleted, and that family member got some info on viruses sent to him. :)

If not Outlook, what?

I've had my PC infected twice in the past year using Outhouse despite having AV running, blah, blah.

Do you guys only use web-based email or another program. I have a copy of Eudora 5.o but hated it.

I use Linux, which means that there are fewer viruses out there that can infect me....

On the other hand, I use the Netscape Mailer on both Windows and Linux. Any viruses I should know about?

I need to use outlook at the moment because number one, this is technically not my computer and I can't install the mail program I prefer to use which is the bat.

Checking my domain pop3 accounts is a pain in the ass otherwise.

KM - I have a few things you could stock ;)

I use web based email only. The email is put in temporary internet files when I open it, and if I don't open it, it never actually gets on my puter. Let it infect MSN. Bill has plenty of money to replace his computers. It's not virus proof, but it's less risky than outlook.

The only downside to web based email is that you can't read your mail offline. The upside is that sircam and co. are less likely to be harmful.

Hmmm, sounds interesting Angel darlin...

Whoa! Is that what those emails were? Norton picked mine up and tossed them. Angel... I'm going to email you. ;)

Yep, and I updated this computer's antivirus files. It's not mine, but I'll be damned if I inadvertently infect a friend or client's computer.

Welcome. Now check your PMs so you can answer me and I have something to read when I get home from work!

:D

K, bye, off to work. Joy.
