The web domain is registered to http://www.privacyproject.org/ which is registered to a lovely individual named Mark Albers. Mr Albers is now the recipient of several choicely-worded emails from moi because he stole a random chapter of my story too.

Ah, didn't realize you're in the UK. I'm pretty good on the phone so let me give 'em a ring and report back...

1st call- pick up/hang up

2nd call- went to voice mail which identifies Mark Albers. Sounds like a dumb cunt. Didn't leave a message...this time.

Not sure what type of message to leave. Maybe something like "I'd like to discuss the appearance of copyrighted material on your website and negotiate payment for my clients..."

lol - can't believe you actually rang! That's superb :)

I do wonder if Mr Albers is our actual target, however, as I've now been introduced to the wonders of privacy sites - buffers between these nasty people and the rest of the world.

There was another phone number listed against the actual xiajo.com domain listing, which was for Australia - unless you have a long distance plan I expect we're barking up a tree...

Ah well, worth a try right? I'll have to be satisfied with harrassing Mr xiajo on Twitter for now :)

Agreed. The pickup/hangup is a dead giveaway that things may not be so rosy with Mr Albers. It is a cell phone so it would be easy to torture him, I could drive him nuts in under an hour but... harassment can be a two way street.

Good work finding the info, maybe just keep an eye on it and if he escalates then we can too...
