The 'Money Shot' comes at the end of the clip.

Gruber on taxes.

The nut of it is that the majority of Americans are economically ignorant. And in this he is 100% spot on. This ignorance leaves the electorate open to manipulation by those who do understand economic principles.

The second point he makes is one that many of us have been trying to drive home for YEARS now. That being that companies don't pay taxes, the customer does, every time. And in the case that Gruber is making, the tax proposed is like an excise tax, it's hidden. The government profits and you get screwed.

Now you say that only the 'Cadillac' plans are going to be taxed. That is true.....today. But just like bracket creep with the Income Tax, eventually that tax is going to hit the not so 'Cadillac' plans, meaning yours perhaps. Why? Because most of you are economically ignorant and are more interested in "Killing Igor's Goat" than paying attention to what's in your own best interests.

So if you accept that projection, what about climate change?

I love how "climate change (which had to be renamed when warming was noticeably NOT happening) makes you libs feel so smug and superior in every other avenue of discourse.

Something that cannot be proved to be wrong until long after we are all dead. Way to pick a position of importance.

Its the one thing where liberals demand you prove a negative. PROVE that the climate won't change in the future in catastrophic ways.

November 13 and we're going to hit a new record of 17 degrees.

;)

The models called that one! Sho' Nuff!

Terribly named video. He isn't bragging, he is simply explaining the way things work. And he is right. Most Americans are too stupid to understand, including 1-2 people on this very thread.

Unfortunately, understanding will merely make you drop out of the political process altogether because you will learn that no matter what you are going to get fucked. Our federal government does not serve in the interest of its citizens. Maybe they one did but they sure as hell don't know.

Is your point that if he had been truthful and transparent that this law would not have passed muster with Democrats?

I mean, I understand that part.

On one day, the Democrats went to the SCOTUS and swore up and down that this was not a tax and then they turned around on the next day and said the law was Constitutional because it was a tax. That's good and proper governance, or something we just have to expect and support because our elected leaders know better than we do, even though none of them read the bill and were telling us that it had to be passed in order to find out what was in it?

One guy even said he didn't have enough time to assemble a team of lawyers to tell him what was in it and he was, I believe, a fucking lawyer!

Warming is still happening. In the past eighteen years the earth has been warmed well above average, with no sign of getting warmed less, now or in the future.

You are incredibly and pathetically fucking stupid and are no better than a really devout fundamentalist of almost ANY religion.

Actually, the Democrats said it wasn't a tax but Justice Roberts was the one who disagreed. But hai, I know you don't like to have facts intrude upon your little rants.

Rave on, you fatassed half-breed punk.

No it hasn't.

You have an entire thread for your retarded shit...go post that there, so my great-grandchildren can laugh at you.

My point is exactly what I wrote, passing commentary on a video that was posted. I am not like you, I don't have a partisan agenda behind everything I post.

He's quite representative of the left wing social elite conspiring against the American people and our country. They need to be tried and put up against a firing wall. I know, I know, but I'm old fashioned.:D

Old fashioned, indeed!

I mean, really!

"Tried"?!

Why do people continue to argue about climate change? It has happened since the beginning of time. The climate is always changing, welcome to planet earth. Medieval warm period? Little ice age? Don't be stupid.

Not like this, it hasn't. Before the Industrial Revolution, it always happened on a geological time-scale. Two centuries is a minute on that scale.

You know, we're still in an Ice Age -- an Ice Age being any period when there is ice at Earth's poles. There wasn't always, there have been many long periods when there was none. But our species, Homo sapiens, has lived its entire existence in an Ice Age and is not adapted to an ice-free age. And now we might well be facing one.

Check out this article. Climate change on Uranus!!

Can't forget Jupiter's red eye storm, it's decreasing in size and some juniors have cropped up too.

Neptune's moon, Triton. I remember hearing it's surface is getting warmer and it's atmosphere growing more dense from frozen nitrogen melting.

And what was all that noise about the "perfect storm of galactic cosmic rays"?
And the sun's magnetic pole flux?

It has precious little to do with "saving the planet." How fucking arrogant can you get? The planet will still be here long after we're gone.

It's all about power and control. And the tactics are all tried and true. Appeal to the baser instincts of the individual, and if that doesn't work...............scare the shit out of them.

The new priesthood indeed.

I am in sales. My post was written as such for good reason. Do you know why?
