Yesterdays big family day out
I'm still laughing about our family day out. We wanted to do something diffrent and I have shared this with some of my friends here but you have to understand that I'm pure 100 percent city boy here. I know nothing about farm animals etc.
So yesterday we loaded up the van and had another couple with us so six in all and headed north to a town called Kettelville(which I also found funny) to see a world class rodeo......What a trip !!! Now for the folks out west I am not ripping on the whole deal I understand it is big but for around here it is pretty funny.
We pulled in , and Dam western wear everwhere. Now the "cowboys were all mostly from out west although there were a few from Upstate NY. and Jersy but dam whating these dudes do what they do and watching them hit the ground....hard I can't help but to ask myself why? and isn't there a much easier way to make a living? These dudes didn't get up real quick ....And yes the Very best was the clowns...Now thats a job for me !!!! Screw around and make folks laugh.
Another good part was they let the kids out there with the calfs and had ribbons ties to there tails and the kids had to chase them and get the ribbon......3 or 4 poor little calfs and about 200 kids running after them.
I had to add this too....our skitten was rooting for the calfs during the roping compition ....The little buggers would run like crazy to the other side and get away....Me myself I'd just pull out a pistol and shot the little buggers so much better that way ....alot less work to....
Anyhow we just wanted to share that . It was funny to see folks that we know live in the heart of the city all dressed up in western wear acting like something there not.
I had my sneakers on a T shirt and bandana on ...Just me
The kids loved it , and it was kind of fun....Just glad I live in the city..lol
