I am sooooo fucking sick and tired of being treated like I'm stupid because I'm young and/or relatively new to the lifestyle ...

• I am not stupid
• I am not retarded
• I am very well aware of what this lifestyle can/does intail
• I am not jumping blind into something that I can only vaguely define
• I am not so bloody naive that I don't know about the fakes, players, wankers, predators, etc. that are "in" the lifestyle
• I do not need to be taught how to find a boy (advice is appreciated, but telling me about a class that you are going to be starting soon to teach people about the lifestyle is soooo not going to impress me)
• I do not need to spend 2 years dominating someone online before meeting them face to face
• I do not need to be told that I need to spend 2 years dominating boys online before meeting them by someone who can't even define what exactly it is that she does for her online 'slaves'
• I do not need to know all of the details of a particular situation to know that it is not right, just or fair to most of the people involved in it, and that the only person who is happy with it is supposedly a 'slave' who's happiness, in theory, shouldn't really figure into the equation
• and last but not least, I do NOT need to be fed excuses about "Dom/mes come across as trying to change people's minds because they are dominant ... it's just how [they] are"

Bah, it makes me sorry that I entered the public aspects of the lifestyle when people treat me this way.

I am an intelligent, educated woman. I have been around the block (maybe not as many as some, but enough to not be blindsided by the obvious shit). I generally avoid those kind of conversations - that, or I have never been surrounded by such geographically behind people. I usually just find myself wedged between Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger fans that it becomes nauseating when I try to change the subject to a first-person-shooter game like Unreal Tournament or something like that.
