i just finished my first story in three years( yay!) and i'm currently waiting for it to go through the whole lit process.

anyway...

1) does it still take about a week?
2) anyone know of any other decent free sites besides asstr which i've submitted it to?
3) i used to use the kristen archives, but i can not remember how to submit stories there anymore and i can not find any info on how to on their site. i remember having that same problem my first time going through them as well.

the bastards.

any help would be nice.

thank ya's.

Sorry, couldn't help it. I also post my stories at Storiesonline (google it). They do allow underage sex (there are absolutely no restrictions on posting anything), so some authors refuse to post there for that reason. Others, I think, believe that SOL's audience is nothing but a bunch of wankers. That's not my experience. The e-mails that I get from SOL are very thoughtful, and the scores over there are much more reflective (both absolutely and relative to my other stories and those of other authors) of what I think my stories are "worth." You usually get far fewer readers over there, particularly on short works, and especially compared to categories in Lit like "Loving Wives" or "Incest." On the other hand, if you have a historical romance, or a long story, the reads are quite comparable. Take a look, decided for yourself.

I've been looking through the site. Does this help?

New Account Information

no, but thanks anyway. that's what was driving me crazy. i have an asstr id and password, but the kristen archive had a separate submission form back in the day. i have no idea if they still do. i can't see why they wouldn't.

kinda pisses me off. i received a decent amount of feedback when i used that site.

same for stories online, but i hate their semi-free setup.

They're still completely free as far as I know. I last posted on Monday (the postings also take place a lot quicker, because of course no one screens them). You just need to "join," which costs nothing, just a name and a password. Start a new identity and e-mail the webmaster once you're in .

If you have enough stories there, it's the same as a premiere membership. And I've never understood the benefits in any event.

see, i heard that, but i can't find anything about that on the site.

i do like their scoring system better than lits, though. i hate the five point scoring system especially when you need a 4.5 to get an h. that's a nine on a ten point scale. i honestly wish i could vote a 4.5 or a nine here because sometimes a story deserves an h, but not a five.

oh, and they are much better at explaining things now.

also, i'm just bumping this in case anyone has the answer i'm still waiting for. i've given up lookinh myself at this point. i'm starting to think i'm going blind.

Is this what you're looking for?
