What with the foo fora in Syria you could over look the Yemen conflict. I saw this headline and immediately wondered how bad must it be in Aden/Snaa that people would choose to go to Djibouti?

Markazi refugee camp, Djibouti - As fighting intensifies in Yemen, over 120,000 people have fled since April. Around 30,000 of those have sought safety across the Gulf of Aden in Djibouti.

Since late September, the population of Markazi camp near the Djiboutian coastal town of Obock has quadrupled to more than 2,600 Yemeni refugees, including civilians who were wounded in the war and require medical treatment.

Many refugees are women and children, who have arrived traumatised and in need of psychological support. As the camp expands, so too does the need to develop community centres and other facilities to help refugees heal and rebuild their lives - but humanitarian agencies say there is a dire lack of funding.

Third World Shithole, was a phrase spread around for years but surely applies in both places.

So what the hell is Yemeni conflict about? And who's killing whom, why and what is Americas contribution to the cluster fuck this time? We've been droning the hell out of AQ and civilians for years in Yemen, since the USS Cole was bombed.

Nobody want to put their boots on the ground in Yemen so the Saudi's are bombing the heck out of the Houlithis, using American supplied bombs and aircraft.

Spreading Democracy, 500 lbs at a time I guess. :)
