That's the side I am hunting, particularly the non erotic stuff because it gets so much less attention. I also try, because I have been honing and teaching my craft for years, try to give tips where I can to help improve the work. That's also the whole point of my more geeky threads in the author and poetry sections.

But yes, I am doing the work of promoting my work. If you read it you know the craftsmanship I put into my art. It doesn't do a lot of good to put that quality of work out there and then not be willing to self promote. The message is timely and poignant. The words are well crafted and well presented. The hours over the years behind that in honing my art, countless. Yup, I am going to promote it because the product is excellent.

the pbo membership is comprised not only of novices but many multi-published and proficient writers. Even some of those who are yet unpublished produce exceptional work; some teach or have taught the subject at advanced levels, work/ed as editors and publishers, and hold advanced educational qualifications in the art. What you are doing is considered spamming and is against Lit's policies. If you wish to promote views, you are permitted to have more subtle links in your sig-line. The swiftest way to garner valuable feedback on your work is to reciprocate...take the time you wish others to spend on you to read and think and offer considered, informative feedback. Your blatant 'hunting' comes across as pure self-interest in search of back pats, even down to ignoring the moderators' polite hints about threads.

When I see you taking time to add anything to the poetry community other than your own work, I might decide to offer you some time of my own. After all, a person's political stance doesn't automatically mean they can't write decent poetry, though familiarity with it might colour a reader's impressions.
