Okay, this is just an "I'm happy" thread because a few of my poems got deleted today. :nana:

It's not often we have a "Plug your newest work that you submitted, but then had removed" thread...so this is my little happy thread for that.

I wanted them gone for various reasons.

My newest one just got all messed up in the formating and to do an edit would do no good for two reasons.

1) Without submitting as a new illustrated poem it would just get messed up again.

2) It's not fair to the poor poem to get those poor votes because of site limitations and format structure problems. If it's a poor poem then that's fine, but don't judge it based on the limitations of the formating program. Hmmmph.

The other poem I've been wanting gone for a while now anyway.

So...that leaves my profile with nearly all Hs. :nana:

All except for 1 poem. Which is a perfect 5 by the way, it just doesn't have enough votes for the H.

*nudge nudge* *wink wink*

I take it somebody didn't read the submission guidelines first? ;)

Glad you're happy, Rika. :rose:

Read? Is that what this place is for?

Hmmm....

I never knew.

Thanks!!!

Now go and vote on the one poem left that doesn't have an H. ;)

My poem's format was so unique that I spent 15 minutes after pasting in the submit box to fix the problems that pasting caused it. Then after painstakingly making sure the spacing was right, and the diagonals straight, I made a note in the Author's Note section to keep the format just how it was. It still got too messed up to be even close to what I wanted. Imp gave me a great idea to do it as an illustrated poem, and I may just have to.

Send it as a JPEG, it's much easier and shows up exactly as you want it. Just check the size guidelines first in the FAQs. ;)

Did you use HTML code for the spacing or just the space bar?

The, what I thought was, my good old trusty space bar. That didn't work to well apparently. I shall have to look into the Jpeg format. I know HTML around here is nearly a forbidden phrase it would seem. Although Vella has gotten away some with very cool stuff playing with HTML coding.

This is the dance you do . . .

. . . for having something taken off.

Ah, that won't work. Use "&nbsp" (without the quotes) for each space. That still works even though most HTML no longer works on the VBulletin.
