Yahoo Problem

I logged on today and had three offlines waiting for me. None of which I could read because there was a blank screen in each window.

When I replied to each, it remained a blank window.

so nothing that I'm typing or anyone else is typing to me is visible. Very frustrating.

I uninstalled twice and reinstalled twice, as well as rebooted. None of which has solved the problem, I even reviewed the Yahoo help file.


Has this ever happened to you? Any suggestions?

I reinstalled twice already today, which would have automatically been the latest version of YIM.

Yahoo is kind of buggy.

I'm gonna suggest you sit down and try to communicate with your friends via letters delivered by carrier rat. Or Messenger.

Usually when that's happened to me, a reboot fixes it. Have you run a virus scan?

I don't even like to use messenger, but it's driving me bats. I could always open up MSN and see, I suppose... but yahoo is what I've been using when I use anything.

I am using Yahoo IM right now with no problems. I did have that problem before, and restarting my computer solved it.

Not that this will help you, but the same happend to me today with MSN!!! The weird part. . . I could see what THEY typed and smilies. . .but NONE of what I typed!!!

Yeah, frustrating is puttingit mildly!!!

I don't really have as much problem as others seem to have with Yahoo. Don't know why, but it never really causes any serious problems.

I have this happen all the time with MSN but never yahoo.

Usually it is when MSN is upgrading and by the next day it would be working fine again. Very frustrating when you want to chat right now though.

Strange that you're having trouble w/Yahoo Messenger. As much as I bitch and moan about computer, I've never had trouble w/Yahoo. Maybe you should uninstall, reboot the computer, then re-install Messenger. Sometimes you just have to trick the stupid computer.

Sam as I said, twice, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Yahoo and rebooted it. All a grand total of 3 times.
