Yahoo & MSN Messenger HELP

Help / explain to me. Yahoo can apparently now communicate with people with Windows MSN Messenger. How does that work? In YAHOO, do you use as the 'name/ID' the Windows MSN email address? In Windows MSN Messenger, does the Windows MSN user use JUST the yahoo ID, or yahooID@yahoo.com ??

Sorry to be so elementary, but I appreciate any help!

And - video - how does that work between the two?

And what works/doesn't work on Mac? Windows? etc.

it just means that you can add people with msn to yahoo, and yahoo or any other email to msn thats all

you may be talking about programs like trillian that allow you to log into multiple chat clients through one interface and chat with people across AOL/MSN/Yahoo/ICQ.
