Yahoo and Hotmail SPAM Answer?

So far it is more primitive, yet similar to what Yahoo already has and that doesn't work worth a crap!

I'm going to stick with it far a few weeks and see what happens.

IMHO, this program is stinking crap.

Not worth the trouble and I can't tell any improvement after all this time.

I deleted my account.

I have been running it for about a week now. Not too bad for me. It catches about 50% of the spam i get. I guess 50% is better then zero

I personally recommend using Mozilla Mail or Firebird, they have built in spam filtering that will adapt because you teach it what is spam.

Also http://www.spamcop.net offers excellent spam filtering, it captures rougly 75% of my spam (I get roughly 350 spam messages per day).

Since I have my own domains what I did was redirect all my email accounts to my spamcop account, next I created a hidden account I never give out to anyone. Finally I redirected my spamcop.net account to this hidden account, this allows me to check my mail from Mozilla, Outlook ,etc as normal but all my incoming mail goes through spamcop.

This setup also allows me to avoid buying multiple spamcop accounts for my email accounts (though it is an excellent service and I'm glad to pay, I have many email accounts, paying for each one would not be sound or practical).

Spamcop also has a web based front end to their system so you can check your mail from any system and it has automatic spam reporting (you click a link and it reports the mail as spam to all the correct people, the isp the owner of the ip range, etc).

If you have control over your own mail server I recommend installing spamassasin, it is slightly difficult to install but very effective.

There are several windows based products that I tried that were junk, they basically distribute a list of subject lines known to be spam and filter on the subject.
