Isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

I envisioned sleeping in everyday.. lazing around the house.. doing what I want, when I want.

But that's boring  I feel like I'm having an over-extended weekend.. and keep wishing it would end.

I've applied at jobs.. just waiting for responses now, but that won't be until Monday or so.

I could clean house, but why would anyone want to do that?

I've decided to take a step aerobics class and a yoga class at my local community college.. but the term doesn't start until the end of the month.

I need structure..

I know the feeling, Lickerish. I'm the same way. It's why I spend so much time on lit. Then again, I always COULD clean my house. I just don't want to. :)

It sucks

I know how you feel, what I always avoid doing is the laundry but first and foremost, my arch nemisis...The DISHES!

That reminds me...I used to clean, before I found Lit.

OMG I just realized Laurel is really an agent of Satan and has lured us all to this diabolical playground and slowly one by one she/he/it is destroying our lives.

People!!! Don't wait another second....run to the nearest temple of repentence, throw yourselves on an alter and beg to be sacrificed. (To be fair..I'll go first. Who wants to sacrifice me?)

Oops sorry Lickerish, got a little carried away there. ;)

I don't know... I think I could do really well at unemployment, if it wasn't for that whole, bothersome lack of money thing, and everything that goes with that.

I have no problem with being unemployed except for the lack of money. I always find stuff to be doing. It is when winter comes around that I tend to get a bit bored.

You Too!

Gotta Start Teaching The Fish To Clean The Dishes:D

Extended Vacation....Yes I Like It! Structure? Structure! I Need No Stinking Structure!

Welll Maybe I Do?

I'm not technically unemployed, just a student not studying at the moment.

Usually I know what you guys mean, getting bored with all summer and nothing to do...but not this time around. I'm so enthralled by these marvels the Americans call "Internet connection", "Starbucks", and "public library" that I think I can find enough to keep myself occupied for a long, long while.

Well, I'm not so concerned about a lack of money right now, so I'm not applying to jobs as much as I should

I kind of wanted to enjoy some freedom before hitting the grindstone again.. but I didn't think it would be this dull.

If I don't get any of the jobs I applied for, then I'm going to go back to school.. at the community college we have here, I could take 3 terms and get my dental assisting certificate.

That doesn't sound too bad

________

You've discovered what a lot of us already know from experience too.

Being unemployed... is a lot of work!

And it sounds like you'll do well. Keep your chin up. :D

I wouldn't want to be out of work for any long period of time, but a nice month off would work wonders for my spirit right about now... still hoarding the vacation days away.

That's what I did in June, I took a month off. I came back feeling refreshed, and I couldn't believe how everyone was walking around like zombies. To think I had looked like that the month before

Why do you girls blush when you 'flirt' with me?

You both are sooo cute

Yes, raindancer, I believe you could ;)

Its under employed... or something.

AIM style?

ANGEL, you promised yourself to me I thought... now off with that licky stick again.. my god.

I spent 10 months last year into this year unemployed.

Then I was hired by what turned out to be a horrible comapny to work for. since May 75 other people have been hired and quit. Last week alone 17 people were fired.

So today I told my Sales Manager to take the job and shove it. (this was after finding out I am not going to get paid for the past 3 weeks of work....)

Strange, but I am not stressed about it but feel comfy about it. Maybe the Valium is doing its job???

dont i know it, but sometimes it worse when you finally get a job, you dont know which was more annoying being grumpy cause your not working, or being grumpy cause of the B.S on the job

Ain't that the truth?

I went back to get some final paperwork, mind you- it's only been a week since I left.. and some rep said 'oh, are you re-applying?' in a sarcastic tone.. and I said 'Hell No' in front of the head of security, the front desk lady, and a couple of HR people.. and the funny thing is, nobody blames me.. they know all the shit that goes on there is BAD.

Being unemployed is way better, IMHO.

I don't know where you live, but that isn't legal. You don't have to sue to get your money, just report the company to the proper agency in your state.
