i recall a while back asking something along this line. Laurel I believe sadi that it is for legal protection, that if someone threatens bodily harm then she has to follow recourse and report that. but she does not and will not look at the ip loggs unless absolutely neccesary and if I understand her correctly she has never looked at them since opening this site, but I could be mistaken.
