XMPP/Jabber native support?

I occasionally read literotica via a text mode web browser (which is inside of an SSH session) and noticed your chat room has moved from some adobe flash system to an XMPP based system. newchat.literotica.com does not accept any connections on either 5222/TCP nor 5223/TCP. There are no SRV records indicating any other servers to try.
Is this something literotica might make available? As might be inferred from above, explicit support need not be offered as anyone smart enough to follow along this far can use the details to connect using any standards compliant XMPP client.

Has anyone managed to connect with something like Gajim? I figured it might work since Gajim has Bosh/Websockets support, but I didn't get the right incantation yet. I tried setting the host string to wss://literotica.com/newchat/http-bind/ and port to 443, but no joy. It would definitely be nice if we could connect directly to the XMPP port. This Bosh thing is a bit shaky and people are getting dropped a lot.
