I THOUGHT THAT THE XFL WAS EXCITING.WHO WANTS TO SEE OVER PAID FOOTBALL PLAYERS.THEY SHOULD HAVE TO EARN THERE MONEY.LAS VEGAS AND MEMPHIS ARE TEAMS TO WATCH.

I see you haven't fixed the caps button on your keyboard yet...
I's okay. Were they playing today? Damn...

XFL sucked even worse than real NFL and CFL does, 4 hours for a one hour game, wheere is the justice in that

XFL kicked ass....sorry toddy but it did...go back to watching tennis...LOL

Rosebud all they have to do if they want to play football in a 4 hour period and make it acceptable to to make each quarter an hour.

if you set a time limit to something like a 15 minute quater a 20 minute period what have you. and thaen you take 60 minutes to play that 15 minutes then what exactly is the point of the time clock.

that is my question , what is the point of the time clock if 15 minutes is stretched to 60 minutes?

well bobbytoad..there are rules like there is in everygame...they do wrong...the clock stops and they fix it by penalties....also they do get tired and the station it is broadcasting on needs money so they have top stop for commercials....

then just call a quarter 60 mintues keep the clocks running and the advertisers going etc.

also why does the clock have to stop that is self defeatest to haveing a set amount of time.

the perfect sport would have ezqul peroisds of time, the lentgh doesn't matter as long as its adhered to. the clock did not stop unless like and mabulance or dotors had to come remove a body from the field of game play. if you wanted to stop the clock for comericals and stuff then doin it like this:

a 40 minute period, clock goes for 10 minutes straight unless a serious injuries needs a ambulance to remove the player if not he can hobble of as a replacement comes on, after 10 minutes there is a 5 minute break for comercials and advertising and physical rest game comes back for another 10 minutes 5 minutes of comerical etcs.

that gives you an hour with 20 minutes of advertiseing spaceds out evenly 40 solid minutes of game play.

instead of the present 5 minutes that is stretched into 60 minutes time frame.

Would that be acceptable Rosebud?

a ps. to that when a rule is broken, you have more than one ref, so one of the extra refs escorts the rule breaker off the field and either the other team gets a power play type offensive for a minute or the coach sends another guy in depending on the rule that is broken.

That's nice Todd.
You never did tell us the truth about aliens.

XFL is going to force the NFL to re-examine some of its current packaging methods. Once the average fan gets used to the friendly, accessable juggies and thier bump-and-grind presentations, why would they pristine, untouchable, models in sterile little dance routines.

I can't wait for the personal interviews degrade into a back-and-forth badmouthing match during the game, WWF style. I think they players were on their best behavior for the first game. Wait until some rivalries and animosities build up. Hell, if ratings go down, they'll probably stage some exciting antics.

The ratings are going down fast. I am afraid it will go the way of the USFL and WFL.
