At 6:30 tonight the World Wrestling Federation and NBC disbanded the XFL, Talks with UPN also fell apart, So the XFL now joins the WHA, USFL, and a few other leagues in history...

As much of a football fan as I am, I won't be missing the XFL. The cheerleaders were the best thing about it. I liked some of the names though; you have to admit that He Hate Me is pretty original.

I kinda figured it would go under when they couldn't keep a supposidly 60 minute game under 3 hours.

Was there ever a doubt?

Well i fugured if any man knew how to run a 14 minute ratings quarter it would be Vince but apparently his watch doesn't work either

The XFL is now the "Ex-FL"

Aside from the normal length of a footbal game becasue of the rules on when the clock runs, I think almost anyone except Vince and NBC could have made the league work.

Because of the connection with the WWF, nobody took it seriously, especially after the amount of Hype that no football league could ever live up to.

Not only the hype...but the first 3 weeks were horrible. the football at the beginning really sucked, but at the end, the product was good to watch, but alas there was only about a million of the TV viewes doing so, Now after a loss of about 70 million, to be shared by NBC and WWF, the XFL.....or the EXFL becomes history. Better preperation next time may help.

Does this mean we will get stuck watching the European League again? Or Canadian football should move its season? Or how about 3 on 3 football in the ring with a few new wrasslin' rules?
