Location: Xavier School for the Gifted.
Zoom in on the gates of this great school. Large ornate iron. Closed for the moment. An elegant plaque on the solid stone wall to the side.
"Xavier School for the Gifted"
Last year several students graduated from their studies here and entered the "real" world. They would struggle to find their place amongst the, not so gifted.
One of these students stood behind the gates looking out into that real world. The look in her eyes unfathomable. Her long silky dark hair hung straight and long reaching the cute curve of her ass. She was waiting for her fellow students to arrive back within the safety of these great gates. She would find out what many of them had been doing with their time, their gifts.
The invitations had gone out over a month ago. Various techniques were used. Some of the students preferred mental mail... getting a message telepathically if they were able. Many other's received a flashy email, or even just a simple telephone call. Some received word through the intricate grapevine of human voices that existed out there. Still a special few got the ornate card with the Xavier crest pressed into the thick paper.
However they got their invitations, Silk just hoped they would all be coming.
She'd spent a long time with the preparations. She had to account for various dietry requirements. She had to ensure there were certain things made available for the usual emergencies. When things heated up... or cooled down too much. She chuckled to herself as she recalled past moments in school history. Finally the school auditorium was ready. She'd organised for the great double doors at the end to be opened to a canopied area. She was taking full advantage of the warm Summer weather here.
The pool had been partially covered by super-tuff perspex to serve as a dance floor outside. The lights from the pool itself shining up to light the floor with an eerie glow. Fairy lights were strung up everywhere adding glitter to the festivities. Large torches were randomly staked around the perimeter to add a warm flickering glow and to keep away insects. The auditorium itself held the food. Two long tables nearly groaning under the various odd types of food. White table clothes adding a sense of class. The music had been hooked up to the lighting so that every beat made the light show pulse in response.
Oh yes... a lot of time had gone into the preperations. Now she just had to wait for the students to arrive.
Silk's hair moved of it's own accord, reflecting her expectations.
