Oh I know .. and don't even get my wife started on Rogue ..... she never liked how she was cast and written in the movie .... I'm thinking if they did have Gambit .. he'd be some teenager with a smartass mouth ... *Shrugs* ... basing that on Rogue's age.

what i've heard is the new x~men introduced in the movie will be gambit...and nightcrawler and the story will be loosely based on the 1984 graphic novel "god loves,man kills" (which was also loosely adapted in the cartoon series in the form of the "friends of humanity"). also returning will be all the kids we caught glimpses of including bobby (iceman) and pyro.

I'm looking forward to more Kitty Pryde, aka Shadowcat. Her relationship with Wolvie was always far more interesting than this new Rogue plotline to me. Although Nightcrawler if done well will be GREAT!!

Just one more movie I have on my list of must sees.

ahhh ... I've only checked on the link above ... not really had time to look at it, just brushed over it ...checking cast/plot and stuff.

it is all subject to change. one of the original scripts for the x~men movie actually had mastermind as an x~man. there was also talk of adding the angel and colossus.

personally i was hoping they'd use either angel or his modern day counterpart cannonball just becouse a movie about superheroes should have one character who has the simple enjoyable power of being able to fly.

on a somewhat related note if you follow "birds of prey" it's going to be a wb series next season.

Yeah this is true .. but not her all her fault .... ask the writters too. What ever happen to her thinking she had to cast a spell when she used her powers?

the whole movie was a letdown for me...but it's a bygone and the movies on my shelf with everything else.

one of my complaints was i thought the costuming was horrible and as someone with more than a passing knowledge of costuming the whole team could have looked better. i wish they used storms original costume from the comic book series. i never understood why a claustrophobe would dress herself up in head to toe skin tight leather. the wig was a bit obvious but i liked her as storm. i couldn't stand famke as jean grey though...i think she's a great actress and i have no problem with an older woman/younger man relationship as was shown between cyclops and jean...but when translating a comic book to the movie screen you have to boil down all the elements to thier most basic ideas and jean and scott should have been represented as the teams perrenial young lovers.

the whole "spell" thing was just used for the cartoon to make it more exciting

I do have to say that Prof Xavier and Cyclops were perfectly cast though. They each play their part to the hilt. Magneto was also cast well.

I'm a bit pissed about the whole rogue thing...am I the only one who remembers that she was mystiques' stepdaughter? And hot damn do I want my gambit...definitely an early crush for me. Hell...i'd still do him.
