Are there any stories that you have found that evoke the response WTF? because you have no idea what the author intended?

Some of mine get that response by PC and feedback.

However, here is one that I keep coming back to. I'm trying to work out what the author intended. There's something there but...

Lost Within by moonvamp13

Any other stories that intrigue you but you can't really follow?

Og

I know exactly what you're talking about. I'll have to go dig up an example, but sometimes I'll come across something that should make sense, but doesn't- and since I account myself a reasonably literate individual with a scorching case of ADD that makes me speak way too fast and form seemingly unrelated connections before most people have digested a sentence- I sometimes wonder if they're being deliberately obtuse.

What she said.

I read that one ages ago Og.

I had the same reaction... got about half way down the first page and gave up.

They did it as a screen play... and did a poor job at that!!!

Doormouse - you must be the patron of lost stories.

You even read and comment favourably on my bad stories so you must be a saint.

Thank you.

Og.

I'm still trying to work out what 'Lost Within' was meant to be.

Perhaps "Lost Within" isn't a title, but a message? The purpose of the "story" is lost within the text, and anyone who tries to read it ends up getting lost within. That, or bailing out.

There's some strange stuff on this site, that's for sure!

Lou

Og, the only story of yours that truly bought tears to my eyes, was your 'White Tuft', or what ever it was called.

I fucking loved it!!!!!!!!

I read it, thinking... Oh my fucking God.... Imagine if you'd done a story spinner and ended up with that one.... LOL!!!!!

You'd have to think... What the fuck?????

I loved it Og!!!!!!!

You are brilliant and cracked me up ;-)

Doormouse, I think you mean "White Scut". I, too, loved that one.

Is there something wrong with us? ;)

It was the first erotic horror story I read on this site, I think I got to it through story spinner. It was also before I knew Og. I was quite surprised to find out what I do know about him, having read that story first. :D

Hmmm, story spinner brings up White Scut. Could it be a conspiracy?

Lou :p

I'm getting worried. Lou finds the inner meaning of White Scut? All I THINK I revealed was that I didn't understand the category 'Erotic Horror'.

What did I convey?

Runs and hides with spider.

Was it the one about uncomfortable and tragic nativity?

If so, that was one of the first stories I read on Lit too, lol.

Ok, maybe it's just my twisted diabolical mind, but I understood it.

I wrote a short piece a while back(not posted here) called A brothers revenge. It was written alternately in first and third person perspective. The first person as a boy, the third person an evil dragon controlling the boy. The idea being to give the feeling of two personalities at work in the same person and the constant change of dominant personas.

No one got it.

Oh, I got that she was schizzo-afflictive. I just wasn't sure what the intent was.

dragons, huh? Yeah, someone in the SCA group that hits each other with sticks under the freeway overpass near my house told me they can be bastards like that.

Keep posting links like that oggie, I love it when I see crap like that... it makes me feel so much better about my stuff... It also makes me wonder where all the acceptance editors were the day it was posted.

Maybe there was a general amnesty?

I read that "Lost Within" and didn't find it as bewildering as you had made out.

It seems to be either a lover gone absolutely insane. Or possibly possessed by a demon. Either way, it wasn't very good, and wasn't very well written.

It still warrants a WTF, but more for how something that bad got published.

Thank you to everyone who voted!!!!

*hugs* damppanties. Thanks for the comment hon.

Really appreciate it, thanks :)
