Because it applies to the this forum. Over the last week or so I've noticed a bunch of Necro threads.

That's a good point Elizabeth. It could also be people looking to revive certain topics in the hopes of finding likeminded people. A lot of threads from certain demographics don't get off the ground and people may be more likely to engage with a thread that appears to have received attention.

Perhaps we can reduce the number of necro-threads by encouraging people to make their own new threads and engaging with/bumping ones that struggle

I'm just glad this post isn't about something else. I got a little concerned with "necro" in the title !!

I agree reviving old threads is a little annoying but nothing to get worked up about. They usually give me a kind of smh chuckle for the person who most of time is so excited by the original post that they don't notice that it's long gone quiet. And the the or four people (usually guys) that excitedly pile on after!
