WTF is Sprynet and Why do I need it?

Doing some system cleanup and found a file named "Sprynet". So, I opted to delete it, but then got a message saying it will change my system settings or some such thing.

WTF is Sprynet and why can't I remember adding it?

I doubt you actually need it. I suspect its spyware. Do you have the Ad-aware program?

Yeah and it's never picked this up and it's been on there for a while, I just around to cleaning up today.

I'm not certain but I believe it has something to do with AOL. Try a Google search.

That may be why I never heard of it. You could also check the properties and see when it was installed and what it is ect...

Here is how to check properties: get pointer over the folder and right click. I know you can do that. Then scroll down on the pop-up and click on properties.
