Do you men in your 40's find the same experience? Will this continue into the 50's?

I want to know what the F is going on. At 41 - 42 I was ending my last relationship. (Yes, I consider that my last one not the disaster that followed.) I saw that I had a choice of women but stupidly concentrated on one.

Now at 45, now that I have opened the doors to meeting women I am being flooded with "Friends" that want more. It is nothing I have ever experienced. Just in the last 2 weeks is incredible.

This time I am doing it right. I am not rushing into a relationship with one until I am sure about her.

I'm 40 {barely}and prefer men a few years younger or at least not older than I am. Maybe because they happen to be the ones I meet though,my past two relationships were with men six and three years my junior.
If so, why?

Just because a man may be younger than you does not mean he lacks experience or is a less competent lover.

In most (though not all certainly) cases an older man is going to be more experienced then a younger one and I find the added knowledge of experience highly attractive. If I meet a younger man with that same knowledge I am certainly not going to turn my nose up at him just because he is younger by any means. Of course I am also only 25 so younger puts most guys in their early 20's in my case.

I have to say that I found much the same thing in my thirties. All of a sudden, I was the center of attention far more often than ever before.

I almost think that part of it may be for me, as well as for men and women in their forties, that by nature of the age, the pool gets deeper. At 44, for example, someone in their late 20's might find you attractive and relatinship material or someone in thier late 50s. That is a wide range of ages.

These same people would not likely be available to someone in their forties at another time in their life.

Well, I married at 19, my husband is 9 years older than me, and I have no complaints about older guys. Granted he's not in his 40's, but I would never date a guy my age.

I know that from talking to single friends and my sister that they are into older guys. To tell the truth, they won't date guys under 30, and that's young for them. They prefer them in the early to mid fourties. The reasons?

Younger guys aren't (usually) ready for a relationship. They aren't mature enough. Mostly they just wanna have sex.

Also, they are generally better lovers. While it's possible to find a 40 year old with no sexual experience, their's only so much experience a 20 year old can have, cause they aren't old enough to have done much. My sis complains that her ex (they're trying to work out their relationship, for the kids) still seems to think that just reaching out and grabbing her ass or her tit is all it's gonna take to get her horny. She said she's not 17 years old anymore, and she expects a little more finesse. She says that this is normally the problem with guys our age.

• 19 --- Sexual Prowess: We're given a Rambo dick first,
• 26 --- Physcial Prowess: then the body to drive it,
• 55 --- Mental Prowess: and finally, the mind to use it.

Most of us still have an uphill climb for that mental zenith. In the meantime, enjoy your time in the sun. i'm still waiting for the distinguished grey sideburns i know i've got coming to arrive.

Good to hear you are having such a flood of prospective relationships TC. I have usually been involved with men a couple of years above my age or older (though there were a couple of younger ones who were just for fun and corruption purposes)....but then came F and he convinced me to give a younger man a try despite my reservations. I have never been happier or more satisfied in all the ways which count. I think it is more a matter of maturity than age...I have met some men in their 40-50's who will never grow up. F has lived a life many will hopefully never have to and it has given him a depth, knowing, and empathy I had not found elsewhere...and then to top it off he is passionate and has an insatiable appetite to match my own.

LOL! Blimey, I dread to think what I'm gonna be like!

I'm in my early thirties and have always loved sex, but it's only in the past year that I have really felt "awoken" sexually - I'm horny all the damn time. Maybe that's got a lot to do with my partner (in fact, it's got everything to do with him), Freebloke, who just happens to be in his early forties.

I thought we were both at our peaks now. It seems we're both still heading towards them. Bloody hell, we're in for a wild ride, baby!

And, yes, in answer to your first post, Tiger Claw, I prefer men in their forties (but, admittedly, my opinion is driven by my amazing forty-something Dom). There's just something so intoxicating about a man who knows what he likes and is also plenty young enough to want to try out new things and has the stamina to go with it. I think that's another thing! Young men are way to quick to get to the "money shot" and don't take their time enjoying the many, many other aspects of sex. Older men, in my somewhat limited experience (I've only had 8 sexual partners, all but one were around the same age as me), do just that. They seem to place far more emphasis on pleasing their partner than younger men do. Of course, I am wildly generalising here, and I am sure there are many who go against what I just stated.
