Is it only my PM Box that is behaving completely weird? Not only do I have 547 Private messages stored . . . I have messages dating back to 1970 :eek:

And, messages I absolutely deleted two years ago, have magically reappeared in my box . . . :confused:

*cue twilight zone music*

Mine is normal. still allows up to 500 and i think i have grand total of 18 since I cleared them out last week.

btw:kiss::rose::heart: Hope your feeling a little better.

Normal here. It's just because you are so special?

Then again, the forums have been having quite a few problems the past few days.

One of the Guys on the GB was having Pm issues the other week, he couldn 't get any. :eek:

I think mine are behaivng okay, though.

Plus it may be some kinda freak side effect of the recent lit down time....ask Manu, he'll know. :)

I had one dated from December 31, 1969 a few days ago. I couldn't open it or delete it, but I think I finally stashed it into my "smut" folder.

It is because you are special.

And gorgeous.

So you're allowed a few extra messages.

:heart::heart::heart:

More proof . . .

These Messages were sent 6 years before I was born. :D

When I frequented Yahoo! Clubs (that's what they called them before they were Yahoo! Groups) and the message boards acted loopy, many of the messages had a posting date of December 31, 1969. Some of the clubs even showed founding dates of the same date.

Here's what I found in a Google search for December 31, 1969 or January 1, 1970:

http://www.computing.net/answers/unix/december-31-1969-/6650.html

I'm in no way a computer techie so I don't understand what it all means, myself. It's something to do with Unix time. Here's another article from wikipedia:

What I'm guessing is that when they fixed the problem with the forums, something reset itself to Unix time and you'll probably have to send those screen shots on to Manu so he can possibly correct the problem......or it may fix itself.

Mine's normal. I say see how many you can get over the limit. :)

It stopped at 545 ;)

I guess I should PM Manu. It doesn't bother me, and I deleted it all, so that would probably solve it. It was just alarmingly strange, that PM's that were sent two years ago, and completely deleted, had somehow found their way back. It's unsettling that they weren't "gone" at all. . .

Freaky, I tell you. I'd say it's time for me to crawl back into my imaginary world now. :cool:

You have your own imaginary world? Can I come?

And the resurrected messages may be part of a restored database from the recent crash. Still freaky but not completely unbelievable.

You're asking my permission to come? :devil:

There were two messages from you . . .

As everyone has said, "It's 'cuz you're special...":rose:

Hope you are feeling well...:heart::rose::kiss:

23:59:59 31 Dec 1969 is what is called an Epoch Date. Computers store time as the number of seconds since the Epoch Date. If the number stored in a date-time field is Zero most programs will show the Epoch Date for their operating system -- most of which use the UNIX Epoch date.

Any time you see a date of Dec 1969 or Jan 1970, it just means that there is no information for the Date/Time and the program defaults to the Epoch Date.

You are the record holder!

The pressure! :rolleyes:

Thanks for the well-wishes, Everyone. :rose:Pain is nearly unbearable, but I'm still alive. Who knew we move so much, even when we're not moving. (Like when we type . . . How could that possible hurt your back, right? :confused: )

My PM box seems to have returned to normal after I deleted everything. Sigh. Special was fun while it lasted.
