OOC:
A leading sociology professor becomes convinced that money and careers have become such a perversely high priority for people, especially women, that it is causing serious damage to the long-term evolution of the species and civilization itself. In his view, sex and procreation should be a much higher priority, with money a distant second.
His plan is to found a new religion that encourages a new society and ethos, and to this end, he gets himself ordained as a minister. He also uses his new faith to seduce young women and turn them into his unofficial harem of disciples.
By now, his church has some 72,000 members, a respectable and growing membership. He wants more, and plans for part of that growth to be by reproduction. The rest will be by conversion efforts and he has already organized mass media in the 2 years since starting his religion.
The year is now 2014. Reverend Lucien Chauvois's movement has spread from his native Quebec to all of Canada and much of the United States. He wants more converts, of course, but that will take some time. Still, it's a start, and he is already having an impact out of proportion to his following.
The idea is to play new converts, prospective converts, female disciples who want to get close to the Reverend, and the journalists who are skeptical of and want to probe the new Church of Enlightened Values.
