Writing well dried out again perhaps?

I had a nice streak going for a couple months. Four stories written, three posted, one with an editor I haven't heard back yet. A nice streak. Now the drive seems to have waned again. These things come in cycles. I get a passion for reading, so I read a sci-fi/fantasy series for a while, get through several books, then that fades. Then TV or Web Streaming seems to replace it for awhile and I get through a series or two, then that goes. Now it's writing's turn. Don't feel like reading so I guess it's time to catch up on some Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. I wish that editor would give me an update. I'll give him a few days before asking for a progress report. Don't want to come off as some shoulder peaking nutjob. Happy Easter folks!

I've found myseld re-editing some previous chapters. Rereading them, I tend to find more ways to create better wordflow... I think I hope so.

I was burnt out after my last submission and took a break from writing. I stopped replying to PM's and emails. Stopped checking the forums here. Just did other stuff - mainly computer games - for a while. I'm slowly getting the bug again. I've written 10K words for a new story, maybe a third done. But I'm not feeling compelled to write more.

Old stories and editing question.

I'm going over some old stories I've left unfinished. Even wrote some more paragraphs for a few. Don't know if I have the drive to finally finish them, but one looks promising. Erica The Edited Two is still in editing limbo. I asked for an update a couple of days ago. No reply yet. Maybe I should give him another week. I turned it into the guy last week. I'm not the type to ask for progress reports every two seconds, but I am used to turnovers of two to three days. Still, it is a long chapter. Another week perhaps before asking? I hope he didn't ghost. Ah well, Happy Easter folks:) (And Tax Day after :hair pull, arsenic, noose: )

Different directions

I've got a lot of irons in the fire. Working on an historical fiction short story, non erotic, and I have an idea for something I'd like to post here, but I'm not sure if it would generate interest, nor would I know what to categorize it as.

It would take place during the American Civil War, 1860's, about a husband and wife who are somewhat sexual repressed. It is the Victorian era, after all. They live in the north, and the wife's best friend comes up for a visit to escape the fighting in the south. But, the best friend has a dick, and it's hard for the wife. It's weird, where would it even go?

The editor responds

Well, I got an answer. Apparently he'd emailed the completed edits several days previous. Except I hadn't gotten them. They seemed to have vanished in the ether. I don't think I accidentally deleted them. I was on the lookout, so I'd have noticed. It happens occasionally. I send an email to my sister or other relative; it vanishes or bounces back after several days because of some outage or maintenance issue. I asked him if he could try again. Hope everyone's having a great Easter :)

For this reason, I establish that a receipt message should always go when something is sent.

Yahoo/AOL communication issue preventing edit from getting through?

The editor working on my story Erica The Edited Two received a mail failure message-undeliverable bounceback from my email. When I tried to reply I got a 554 mailer daemon "not accepting connections". The editor uses AOL mail. I looked into it on Yahoo help, and Googled the problem. Looks like I'm not the only one with this trouble. This communications issue seems to have gone on for awhile. Am I not getting my edits because AOL and Yahoo don't like each other?
