You'd think it would be a bit daunting, wouldn't you?
I mean, you have your comfort zone, and the way in which you always tend to write, and you like writing like that, and within that type of story. But then, out of the blue, an opportunity comes your way, and you write something completely different; something you hadn't thought of writing before, and it's a very liberating and eye-opening experience.
Romance, here I come.
Seriously, I wrote a letter last night, to help someone out here who had a great idea, but was getting frustrated at maybe not being able to pull it off in time. It was to be a romantic/erotic letter, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I knew I could write the description of the acts well, but could I get the tone right? Bloody hell, I had fun writing it, and honestly didn't realise I could write such romantic, erotic, sensual stuff, without it ending up being downright pornographic and maybe even homicidal. I submitted it earlier today (she suggested I do so) with a dedication to her and her hubby for their wedding anniversary.
I can write "nice" things.
