Writing Goal for the Day?

Got done some more work on FMRS this morning, and have to work this evening from 5-10 PM. Finally I'm back to the grind for a few days!

Hoping that with Mr Penn taking PennBoy to a baseball game, I might get a little time after putting PennGirl to bed and before they get home. We shall see. Wonder how early I can get PennGirl to bed. ;)

Tell her a sweet, age-appropriate bedtime story, save the plot, and rewrite for adults. I have a hockey story in the works, but oh, is it going slowly.

I'm seeing the good ol novel I've been working on ending in three parts after all. I am a little surprised by this, but I think the flow is pointing me in that direction. So I think this third part will probably be just a hair longer than parts 1 & 2, but not long enough to split it into two.

I'm hoping to have it done by Tuesday - we will see. :) I'm excited that it's finally coming to a close and a bit apprehensive as well.

Editing the latest installment of Broken, which is based on my SWB series. In Broken I've added new chapters as well as pulled out and changed others. The definition of tedious.

"Wow, MrsPennLady, your kids are always so rested...how do you do it?"

Happy that my first story is finally done (did not expect it to turn into 7 chapters or to take 10 months to write!) and posted, but now I'm muddling through the foothills of yet another story. Why do we do this again? Oh yes...we enjoy it...

So anyway, hoping to have some sort of actual plot sketched out in my brain so I can make a start.

LOL I'm not sure I do. PennGirl got up at 6am (!!) this morning, and PennBoy had to be pried out of bed after 7am in time for an 8:15am baseball practice. But somehow, we managed.

Hoping to do more writing tonight. Not exactly on a roll, but there is a bit of momentum.

I finally got both of my last backups on the same computer.

I know I lost a completed nude day story and several new starts. Not to mention, who only knows how many thousands of words on other stories over the last three months since the last backup.

I'll backup daily from now on, for a while anyway. Until I get lazy and complacent again.

Sounds like you need some sort of automatic back-up - saves the brain for important things. Like writing about naughty things. :D

I'm on the road most of the time, which makes auto backup pretty much a hit and miss thing. My home computer has it set up, which is the reason that backup was 3 months newer but still three months behind.

After a great deal of shuffling, shifting and double checking files and folder, not to mention a good deal of cussing, I have a working index of stories once again. There are things missing but not as much as I first thought.

I worked 12-5 today, and I did a small amount of work on FMRS ch. 1. Might do more later, as I don't work til 5 PM tomorrow. In order to write the next couple scenes of the chapter (Pokemon battle scenes) and not get hit hard for making the Pokemon use attacks they can't learn, I have to have the info in my browser on my laptop, while I type on my desktop. Not the most efficient, but if I get those scenes done, I'll be happy. I really don't want to wait until I get back high-speed internet before I do any battle scenes.

No goals today - unless you count - staring at the new flowerbed that is almost ready and thinking - OMG what was I thinking. It's HUGE compared to what I've had in the past. So yeah, no writing. lol

The best time to catch TEX on the road is about the same time the bars close. That aint trash piled by the curb, thats TEX!

Working on writing today. I want to complete a particular set of events this morning concerning my novel and I also have some SRPs to take care of - after the writing takes place, I'll be working on Cross-stitch.

Much to my surprise, I got about 5k words done on R&B10. Now I keep wondering when I'll get the chance to do more! I'm coming into the home stretch. :) Then I can work on the summer story.

Changed the opening of my novella to make the tone mysterious, confusing, and anxious. That is, the hero returns home from work to discover that he cant open the front door, then learns that his ATM card wont work and his cell phone is disconnected. It gets worse.

A humongous edited and author-reviewed mainstream publisher manuscript has come back for cleanup, so probably no writing for me this week (although it could give me the discipline to do some). Next published erotica e-book of my own will be habu's expanded Trip Money, relaunching in two weeks. For those who have asked for an expansion of what I've posted to Lit. on this story, they'll find it--and another twist or two--in the relaunched book.

My ATM card won't work on my front door either. Bummer.

Again, do let us know if you ever actually write this book and make it accessible to readers.

Pounded out and submitted just over 8000 words of a group sex scene to satisfy the survivor contest. As a challenge to myself, I based the combinations of participants on the draw of cards. Managed to get through the story without cheating. I'm disappointed the characters came out so generic, but so be it.

I had a "How to" I wrote rejected because I wrote it too tight. Without thinking, I pared it down to 500 words and had it come back to me for 250 more words. It's probably a better article for the extra words.

I'm going to need to look closer at my remaining survivor catagories. My muse is demanding more characterization in my next story. Too many fluff pieces doesn't make the bitch very happy.

My goal was to post in my journal today, and I did. Tomorrow, I restart work on "Avatar of Justice" and will try to finish the first chapter of "FMRS".

I may jinx it, but R&B10 is coming along. In fact, I'm almost at the point where I start to consider ending a chapter but I think this will go longer than usual. I may even try to finish the story -- I was planning on this chapter and one other -- and see if the chapter break needs to come at a different point than I was thinking.

Anyway, however it goes, I'm enjoying the momentum I finally have on writing it.

Nuthin is ever better for more words. The idea is as assinine as the Emperor advising Mozart to add more notes to his score.
