Hoping that with Mr Penn taking PennBoy to a baseball game, I might get a little time after putting PennGirl to bed and before they get home. We shall see. Wonder how early I can get PennGirl to bed.![]()
Tell her a sweet, age-appropriate bedtime story, save the plot, and rewrite for adults.

"Wow, MrsPennLady, your kids are always so rested...how do you do it?"
I finally got both of my last backups on the same computer.
I know I lost a completed nude day story and several new starts. Not to mention, who only knows how many thousands of words on other stories over the last three months since the last backup.
I'll backup daily from now on, for a while anyway. Until I get lazy and complacent again.

Sounds like you need some sort of automatic back-up - saves the brain for important things. Like writing about naughty things.![]()
I'm on the road most of the time, which makes auto backup pretty much a hit and miss thing. My home computer has it set up, which is the reason that backup was 3 months newer but still three months behind.
After a great deal of shuffling, shifting and double checking files and folder, not to mention a good deal of cussing, I have a working index of stories once again. There are things missing but not as much as I first thought.
Changed the opening of my novella to make the tone mysterious, confusing, and anxious. That is, the hero returns home from work to discover that he cant open the front door, then learns that his ATM card wont work and his cell phone is disconnected. It gets worse.
Pounded out and submitted just over 8000 words of a group sex scene to satisfy the survivor contest. As a challenge to myself, I based the combinations of participants on the draw of cards. Managed to get through the story without cheating. I'm disappointed the characters came out so generic, but so be it.
I had a "How to" I wrote rejected because I wrote it too tight. Without thinking, I pared it down to 500 words and had it come back to me for 250 more words. It's probably a better article for the extra words.
I'm going to need to look closer at my remaining survivor catagories. My muse is demanding more characterization in my next story. Too many fluff pieces doesn't make the bitch very happy.
